has anyone that self studied calc bc with flipped math only? (and ofc with practice mcq/frq from like past exams or khan acadamy)

Yeah im planning to do that. Ive took a good look of the site, Mainly the prerequisite sheet and its pretty understandable but could that and practice questions be enough?

Anyone that has done this pls lmk if thats good enough and what score you got from doing this?

(Starting to Self studying Calc BC) Ive found out about flipped math's website with pretty cool packets of calc bc and a pretty easy prerequesite packet? is it possible to just follow Algebro's reviews every day and follow the flippedmath's packet for each topic to help with passing Calc BC?

Ill also consider printing each packet if my school will allow me since i dont own a printer

How to self study calc BC WITH 0 Precalc knowledge and only Algebra 2+trig taken (dw i didnt struggle at all in the course and passed with a ez 96%)

Incoming Junior and I cant take BC or AB in my school since it aint offered and ap coordinator told me it wont be added at all by the time i graduate. I want to self study BC junior year since i would honestly like to self study Physics C Mech if I do really well on calc BC.

I already got a decent plan of going to khan acadamy and reviewing and practicing problems and using youtube reviews (a good one i heard of is the Algebros) for each topic per unit.

Ive also thought and really considered having a seperate notebook meant for Calc BC notes where every 1-2 pages i will write notes on how to tell how to solve specific functions/graphs/etc and how to take shortcuts while solving those specific problems.

Im thinking in the first few pages/at the start of my review notebook i would quickly look at and see the topics of precalc (specificly AP Precalc) that WILL be on calc bc that I should make notes of. Such as unit circle, polar coordinates, and vectors. Ik theres a few more i forgot to add and ill try and look into it

Ive did this similar thing when i took APWH (took the class with a 4) and i just had a seperate APWH notebook and i would have pages going periodically though every time period and writing like a few simple sentences on what happened, who did it and what the aftermath was.

Is this good or bad to do and pls tell me if i can improve on this notebook method?

Is taking 1 spring semester of Math 111 (Introduction to Statistics and Probability) dual enrollment good enough to take AP stats exam?

Im really wanting to go to out of state top college and i know dual enrollment credit isint usually transferrable there so im thinking to take both intro to stats DE course and AP stats exam. Im 100% taking the DE intro to stats course since i think it could be fun and useful. I want to ensure to have at least some AP credit in case a top college were to accept me. Good choice to do or nah?

Low income student self study calc bc? (No precalc knowledge only algebra 1 and algebra 2 trig)

Incoming junior here and my school dont offer any calc bc and ap coordinator confirmed bc or ab wont be added at all by the time im a senior. I havent taken precalc since thats only at senior year my school makes me take and im taking geometry in junior year. In algebra 1 and 2 trig I didnt struggle at all in the exams. BUT i did kinda get confused on the trig stuff in Algebra 2 but i just did the SOH-CAH-TOA trick which helped a lot. My averages were 94% and 96%. I really wanna take exam for calc bc and my coordinator told me i can register for exam at my school but would still have to pay the fee. My family is low income and they told me they cant afford to pay the whole $99 fee. Im also a NYC student so idk if diff states qualify for extra fee reductions. My parents can afford if its like 30 or below. Is it possible for me to self study it and pass the exam. Btw 1 of my cousion's have taken AP Calc BC exam so i could try and ask him to borrow any textbooks to use.

I'll also consider taking the CLEP calc exam alongside in case I end up doing bad on the exam.

(Pls give me advice and what i should do in my situation)

How to appeal Student OMNY card to use for Dual enrollment at York?

So im currently a incoming junior and my guidence counslor and I are planning to register me for dual enollment courses at York College. The thing is i cant walk all the way there its like an hour and half. My parents cant buy me a bike or a scooter thats good enough or even usable to go that fast there. They cant drive me there since work schedules. Im not eligable for an student OMNY card since i live lesser then 0.5 of a mile to my high school. Is there any way to appeal this to like the DOE or maybe someone that runs the MTA? Ive asked the coordinator at York and they dont provide students with OMNY cards or any transportation assistance. (im really really interested and wanna take courses at that college)

Create a Tik Tok giving general advice/specific advice for every AP exam and course

Idk if you guys know Mr. AP, he has around 10k subs with average 1k views in their vids. The vids contain advice and showcases of AP courses and if you should take them. They usually are long form vids. I kinda wanna do something similar like that but short formed on Tik Tok since ive heard that those types of content do better on there. I wanna make seperate posts giving a quick and easy rundown of each AP course and how the exam works, if its generally recommended for specific majors, and its overall difficulty/workload. Ofc i havent taken a ton of APs yet (my school has a limit of 3 for only juniors and seniors and 1 for sophmores and none for freshmans) but im willing to do my research and looking at other sources from people that have taken the course to give the general advice and steps for the course. Ive had this idea in my mind for a few weeks now and im thinking to maybe start it soon (within this week)

Idk this sounds embarrassing but ill have to use my moms phone if i end up doing it since i dont own a phone and usually gotta borrow hers when i wanna talk to someone or play some games (kinda lower middle class). She will probally not mind much since she lets me borrow it if its for something good instead of like doomscrolling

Could this be a good ec that colleges might like?

Recommendations for AP/DE schedule???

Title: Is this schedule actually doable, or am I being unrealistic?

I’m trying to figure out my schedule for next year and I’d genuinely like some honest opinions from people who have taken a heavy course load. I’m not trying to overload myself just for the sake of having a lot of classes — I want to know if this is realistically manageable.

Here’s what I’m currently considering:

  • AP Literature
  • AP Biology
  • APUSH
  • AP Computer Science Principles
  • Dual Enrollment Computer Science Introduction (Spring)
  • Dual Enrollment Software Development Introduction
  • Dual Enrollment Statistics (Fall)
    • I would take the AP Statistics exam using the material I learn from the DE course rather than taking a separate AP Stats class.
  • Dual Enrollment Precalculus (Spring)
    • This would be in a different session from DE Statistics, so I wouldn’t be taking both DE math courses at the same time.
    • I would also take the AP Precalculus exam using what I learn from the DE course. (and willing to self study)
  • During Lunch periods: AP Calculus BC OR AP Physics C: Mechanics (I want to make good use of my lunch period because its the last period and I usually leave early to doomscroll)

The main reason I’m looking at the DE math option is that I’d rather take the actual college-level courses and then use that knowledge to prepare for the AP exams instead of taking separate AP Statistics/Precalculus classes on top of everything else.

I’m also planning to ask my counselor if I can increase my AP course limit by one so I can add AP Biology, and I’m looking into whether my local college would allow me to take their Math 111 (Statistics) in the fall and Math 120 (Precalculus) in the spring.

I know this is a pretty big schedule, but I’d really appreciate genuine opinions from people who have taken several APs/DE courses.

Do you think this is actually doable?

If you've taken AP Bio + APUSH + AP Lit or done dual enrollment alongside APs, how bad was the workload? And between AP Calc BC or AP Physics C: Mechanics, which would you recommend for this schedule?

I’m especially interested in hearing from people who have actually had a similar workload, rather than just “8 classes is impossible” or “you’ll be fine.” I want to know what the workload is actually like and whether you think it’s sustainable. Im tryna lock in and save money in college 🤑

Should i ask Guidence counslor to increase ap limit to 4 so i can add AP Bio

incoming junior and aps im taking are ap lit apush and ap csp. I wanna add AP Bio cuz i like credits. My school has a set limit of 3 aps for every junior. Would they increase the limit just for me if i ask and would that coursework be handlable. Ill also be taking Dual enrollment alongside since my school doesnt add the good APs

Take AP Calc BC without precalc?

Ive taken only Algebra 1 and Algebra 2 trig so far and im planning to take lunch classes of calc bc. I never struggled with algebra 1 or algebra 2 trig so should i take this route. (i cant do senior year since im planning to take AP Physics C:Mech for lunch periods in senior year)

Should i take AP Physics C: Mechanics during lunch periods as online courses every day and take the exam? (incoming junior btw)

So like im tryna lock in junior year and senior year and take a lot of useful AP courses. My schedule for junior year in terms of AP courses and Dual enrollment is AP Lit, APUSH, AP CSP which also has a program that does Dual enrollment CS and Sofware development courses which im gonna take, and Dual enrollment Precalc and Stats that ill take and ima try and ask my guidence counslor if i can take the ap exam for precalc and while taking the dual enrollment courses. ill try and do the dual enrollment on weekends instead of weekdays so ill have some free time to myself to study and relax.

In terms of ecs ill be taking drone club, a intership at my school, and hopefully if i get approval from guidence counslor and principal ill start a newsletter club to try and make montly newspapers about achievements and events in my school.

I searched up AP Physics mechanics on google and some online friends told me that calculus and physics beforehand is neccessary. The only math ive done is algebra 1 and algebra 2 trig and i have 94% and 96% final averages on them and never struggled at all in either course. Ill be taking geometry junior year btw. For science ive only taken Biology and Earth and Space Science. I havent struggled much in Biology but i struggled kinda a lot on Earth and Space Science and the extra credit came in clutch.

Pls be honest should i do mechanics during lunch periods online cuz i wanna take a usefull and rigorous course and wanna make good use of my lunch periods. (btw my school offers normal physics but thats for seniors and theres no ap physics offerered as a course in my school

Will ivy leauges or top colleges want me or hate me? (incoming junior with set plans for future also)

Im a low income Bengali from NYC and Ive really wanted to get into cornell, columbia or NYU in ED (probally princeton cuz my parents would like that more)

Ive had a 94% final average unweighted in freshman and sophmore year so far (the school doesnt weigh or do standard gpa and idk how to convert). I didnt take anything impressive freshman year since ap's werent offered that year and sophmore year my school only offered ap world which i was signed up for and i ended up getting a 4on the exam I did sign up for chess club both years but quit halfway through since i thought i would learn some new moves or compete in competitions but none of that happened and i regret that so badly. Also in the summers i ngl did nothing cuz im lazy lol.

In junior year im gonna be taking AP Lit, APUSH, and AP CSP. Theres a max of 3 ap i can take junior year and not much rigerous ones were offered that year. Im also gonna plan to join a club called "Global leaders" which is a internship that pays $400 at the end of the year. Im gonna plan to join drone club which does competitions with other schools and will help me get drone certificate. Im also gonna try and do a coding passion project on my free time with the help of AP CSP teacher. Im gonna also be doing dual enrollment on my own time in the spring for math 100 (Pre-Calc) at local college and ill try and take the AP exam for precalc and Math 111 (Stats) maybe ill try and do ap exam for stats. Also im gonna join a dual enrollment program hosted by the AP CSP teacher that does CS and Software development courses on afterschool.

In the summer ill try and sign up for dual enrollment Calculus and ill probally do something like chemistry or physics dual enrollment alongside to knockoff gened courses. I'll also probally do a summer youth internship to help family pay the bills and to hopefully be more social.

Im Senior year im gonna be taking AP Spanish Lang, AP Bio and AP Macro. The max amount of APs is 3. My school so far does not offer AP Calc AB or BC and if they did by the time im a senior ill probally replace macro with calc bc. Also ill be taking Dual enrollment english since my school automatically signs up everyone for it senior year. Ill also plan to take some more dual enrollment sciences or calc 3 to knockoff gened credits. Im also probally stick with the same ecs of drone club, the Global leaders intership, and the dual enrollment cs program.

(do i got a shot or should i start prep working at mcdonalds 9 to 5 for the next 70 years?)

Take AP Spanish Lang exam without the course?

Im a income Junior and im going into Spanish 3. Ive taken spanish in 7th and 8th grade (not able to find final averages i will try and find)

Ive also spanish 1 in freshman year (83% final average) with a known strict teacher that has a very hard accent that i frequently could not understand what she was saying even if it was in english.

All together ive taken Spanish for 5 years and 6 in junior year.

Ive taken Spanish 2 in sophmore year (84% final average) and my teacher had little to no accent so i could understand what she was saying and was struggling with AP World that same year since it was my first AP course so i kind of not cared much about the class since my parents know that Spanish class is useless in the real world (only wanna take exam to skip in college).

I didnt struggle with units on rooms in house like bano-bathroom, el dormitorio-bedroom, la sala-living room, la cocina-kitchen, el atico-attic, etc. I didnt struggle much with congugating er, ir, ar words. Community places didnt struggle since i can remember a good amount like parque, pescadaria, supermercado, escuela, resturante, estacion policia, la cafe, etc. Family members unit was honestly the easiest unit for me since i can remember each major member my memory like hermano, hermana, padre, madre, padres, abuela, abuelo, primo, prima, tio, tia and also mayor-older and menor-younger. I did kind of struggle with direction which i cant remember much on top of my head. I probally struggled with a couple of more which i forgot to say.

On my schools website on AP courses i saw that AP Spanish was a course offered but it wasent specific on if it was spanish lit or spanish lang. I wanna take spanish lang exam without having to take ap spanish in senior year to both reduce stress and since theres limits of 3 aps in senior year i would like to use that to my advantage. Btw im in a NYC school so ill also have to be taking the LOTE regents exam for Spanish in june but idk if thats relevent or not.

My schedule for junior year has not been fully made yet but i know for sure these classes ill be taking is geometry, chemistry, chemistry lab, AP lit, APUSH, AP CSP, PE, and hopefully Robotics (i like robots). Ill be taking Dual enrollment Pre-calc in spring for maybe during the weekend, CS 100 in spring alongside SD 100 for a dual enrollment program in software development afterschool on thursdays and fridays. Ill also be taking drone club on tuesdays and wednesdays. Im also thinking to try and start a newsletter club that happens every monday that would produce daily news for my school (could be fun).

Also money might not be a issue for the exams since my school funds the exams i take if i have taken the equivalent ap course along it and i could possibly get a fee waiver for AP spanish lang with my guidence counclers help.

So do I take AP Lang exam without the course? Any help/recommendations is appriciated. Srry if this is way too long to read and if there are frequent grammer mistakes i wanted to give the most info possible and im going to a friends house pretty soon so had to do this quick.

What decision/pathway to make junior-senior year

Option 1 (Cs path): Take APUSH, AP Lit, and AP CSP in junior year which allows me to take a futurereadynyc program in my school for cs when i take ap csp that year and i get to take CS 100 in spring afterschool, SD 100 during school day for my junior year along with AP CSP. Also i can be able to take Math 111 (precalc) in junior year at my local college. In Senior year i take CS 172 in the fall and CS 291 in the spring. I have to commit to these classes all throughout junior and senior year to gain credit (i wont mind since it could be fun).

Option 2 (math path): Take APUSH, AP Lit, and AP Precalc in junior year which does not allow me to take the dual enrollment program for cs since i need to take ap csp in junior year for it. In senior year i potientally can take ap calc ab or bc without struggling if my school adds the courses by then. I am speaking with my guidence councler currently to see if they will be added (will update when more info is provided). I was also told that for the futurereadynyc program I Could possibly be able to take only CS 100 if i dont take AP CSP.

Im planning to go towards a computer science or computer engineering major in college and i know both cs and math are heavily used so im pretty stuck. Ive dreamed to be in Stanford but also MIT, Harvard, UC Berkley, UCLA, Cornell ED, and Columbia. I probally wont be accepted to any with my little to no ecs and no awards. If i dont get into those then ill prob do local which is CUNY schools. Pls help me figure out what option is the best for me and some advice.
