$600 bill for water, sewer, and trash???

Got a $600 water, sewer, and trash bill from alamogordo utilities. $368 for water, $186 for sewer, and $19 for trash before tax.

Is it not bad enough I got charged $900 by PNM for electricity? I hope they’ll be rolling over the difference on that one at least.

When will the bodybuilding diets die?

Couple questions here:

  1. Does everyone here agree that chicken/ground beef, brocolli, and rice over and over is really not a diet for most people? I can see why Ronnie friggin’ coleman does it. He needs an insane amount of protein and carbs on a low calorie diet when he is getting ready for a show. Same ol’ boring meal day in and out might also just make sense for how many meals he has to eat. It’s gotta save loads of time given how much he eats.

  2. For normal people on the other hand, you’re losing out on all sorts of benefits from varying your diet. For instance, you can make a highly nutritious, filling, and low calorie chili with flank steak, beans, tomato base, and tons of peppers. This might have even more protein per serving and introduces all sorts of additional micronutrients. Then there’s the question of having something varied. You’re likely to actually look forward to your food if you change it up. More excited about what you made at home means you’re less likely to break and stop at wendy’s.

Am I off the mark?

Let me know. It’s also just cringey to me that people copy Mr. Olympia’s diet. Like you ain’t him bro.

Any other pickle suit wearers have these issues?

Am I the only one with these issues? If you have a fix, please let me know because it’s driven me wild for years and I’m getting tired of it.

Yes I know the real answer is to lock in for Big Pete and lose 40 lbs running 40-50 miles a week!

  1. I have a somewhat muscular build at 5’10 and roughly 200. I also have annoyingly large traps (no idea why these bastards blew up but trust me it’s not fun trying to find collared shirts). The traps seem to pull my flight suit up at all times and the thing bunches up and feels like it’s constantly hugging me around where the bottom of my lats are. I hate how it makes me look. The velcro straps end up right around the bottom of my lats where I’m a lot wider than my waist. I can either be uncomfortably tight all day or loosen the straps all the way and look like a fat slob. Promise I’m not bragging about my minecraft steve build here guys. This is an issue that really makes me uncomfortable at all working hours. And my secret, of course, is that I have chicken legs.

  2. Nomex just doesn’t breathe. No matter even if it’s a cold fall or winter day. I will sweat a decent bit in the thing and end up stinking it up. In the summer, I end the day kinda smelling like shit.

Please let me know your pro tips. TIA.

Look like good work to y’all?

I sure hope so. I spent over $200 trying to get shops to align me before I found out from an honest tech that mentioned these were broken and y’all told me they need replacing. $250 for the tabs from total chaos and about $600-800 for the labor from an offroad shop 1.5 hrs away.

This idiot is back looking for more help with alignment

TLDR: Do I NEED cam tabs to get a proper alignment? Am I going to have to pay someone to weld them on and go back for a fourth alignment?

Sorry for something of a repeat post but I’m friggin losing it over here and cannot sort out truth from fiction even talking to alignment techs in my town who are supposedly very reputable.

Lifted my ‘22 GX460 by myself for the first time. Put in Dobinson IMS and Dobinson Billet UCAs.

I sheared off my cam tabs on the front UCAs (see picture 2) retightening LCAs or they were already sheared off by somebody else. I’m not sure tbh but it wouldn’t surprise me if it was me.

Point is, I had the stealership bastards do my first alignment because they were the only ones who could get me in. Picture 1 shows the results of that alignment. All good right? Caster is typically out of “spec” after putting on a new suspension and big UCAs.

However, they never set my wheel in the center prior to starting so it was 10 degrees left. They pissed me off enough with their attitude about it I refused to go back and just took it to a local guy Bob. He seemed to have me driving straight just like the dealer but, again, my wheel was 3-5 degrees to the right. I’m really pissed now and decide to take another recommendation to go to our Ace Hardware who is also supposedly extremely reputable.

These guys tell me I must get cam tabs welded on before they can do anything besides a simple toe adjustment. In fact, they tell me I will likely have to remove the hardware from the front LCAs to even weld on new can tabs because the cams are covering the factory tab locations. Much to my dismay, the toe adjustment didn’t work and my wheel is now 3-5 degrees to the left at all times.

So what’s true? Do I need cam tabs for a proper alignment? Why can’t any of these guys get my wheel perfectly centered. WTF.

Sorry if you’ve already tried to help me and sorry for being a burden but this is driving me ballistic. I just want to enjoy this GX, especially after laboring over the Dobinson’s install all by myself. And I’m still foggy on what needs doing because I’ve heard lots of varying things.

Pictures below. Sorry my frustrations made me forget to post those.

Any help/advice appreciated on these LCA Cams

So I finally got a decent shop without an alignment rack to look at my car and they told me that these LCA Cams are supposed to have tabs on either side that keep the cam centered?

Anyone else had this problem? Who did you take it to get fixed and how much did it run you? The mechanic said it’s somewhat common on Toyota cars.

Wish the other two shops I went to for alignment would’ve pointed this out sooner.

Rain Bird LG3 Help

Hey y’all. First time replacing my sprinkler heads. Why won’t this thing spin counterclockwise. It hits the pin on the left and trips the mechanism to turn back clockwise but nothing happens really when it hits the right pin. Should I just try another sprinkler head?

The part under the ground is filled up so I don’t think it’s a water pressure problem?

UPDATE: Didn’t really change anything and it started working when I turned on my system to test another one. Thanks for the tips on sprinkler heads. I’ll replace these with what y’all recommended eventually! Hope it works better because these don’t quite hit the very center of my lawn.

Traction Control Off/Pre-Collision System Malfunction Post-Lift

TLDR: see title. Did this happen to you?

Hey fellas: everything else with the lift went pretty well besides being a PITA. Quick question though: anyone have their traction control get turned off/pre-collision malfunction post-lift.

I suspect this was because the alignment was out of whack. Of course the only place that was able to do an alignment this week was the Toyota stealership so I took it there (bad decision indeed). They scoffed when I walked back in and told them this was still on and asked about getting it read/turned off. Another $195 for zero degree alignment or whatever the fuck even though that is part of a standard toyota/lexus alignment.

Even if they’re in the wrong, which I’m sure they are especially because my wheel is still canted ~5 degrees left, I won’t be taking it back to those shitheads ever. Anyways, this happen to any of you guys post lift?

DTS Question

I probably should have asked for this help a long time ago but here is the issue:

One of my squadron’s members went on a PACAF deployment. He used his GTC for internet in his hotel for the 6 months (he claims he needed it for the mission. I doubt this but fair enough). PACAF said they will absolutely NOT refund that to him.

As the squadron RA, what should I do? Have him split his voucher between the PACAF LOA and our squadron’s LOA (we pay for his internet)? Assuming my commander agrees that we should pay him back? Elevate to my commander to talk to someone over at PACAF?

Please let me know what you would do. Unfortunately, I’m a piece of garbage and sat on this one for a while.

UPDATE: thanks y’all for your inputs. This is pretty much what I told him but I did so far too timidly. He refuses to take no as an answer but he’ll have to deal with it.

DIYers/Mechanics help ASAP

Any help reattaching this KDSS bracket? The top one seems to be going in at an angle.

Update: my neighbors brother is an old mechanic and is on his way to help. i’m a bit worried by bolts are stripped after I was driving that thing in sideways.

Update 2: hand tightening the bottom one seems like it has relieved my issue. It crushes the bracket up against the LCA bracket so you can line things up easier.

Update 3: thank y’all for your inputs. Couldn’t have done it without y’all or without this mechanic buddy, Bob. Bob 🫡

Onto the rear after about 20 hrs of blood, sweat, and tears. No seriously, everything has fought me tooth and nail. I can’t believe the vids I see of people installing Dobinson IMS and they got none of the same problems.

Technique question: slow as all heck following technique cues

Quick question from a beginner: got about 150km rowed on my erg and, naturally, I’ve been trying to get my technique better.

Weirdly, proper technique (legs, hips, arms and trying for a 1:2 push to recovery ratio) has seriously pumped the brakes on my speed. I’m doing like 2:45/500m following all the technique cues.

So my question is whether this is something everyone experiences? Do I just need to get better at the proper technique and become more efficient in it? That’s what google says but it helps to hear from people.

I’m not trying to break any world records here, just train for general fitness.

Am I missing anything?

Hello all. Noob question here:

Looking to lift my ‘22 GX for the cool look and also for offroading/all the outdoor activities I love to do.

I know little about this though so if you could QC what I’m buying here, I’d appreciate it very much.

This is for a 2.5” lift according to mudify. I don’t plan on doing any steel bumpers or armor but might do some aluminum bumpers/armor. I might also add rocksliders if that matters at all.

Am I missing anything or am I buying anything I definitely DO NOT need? I’m a pretty big subscriber to “buy once, cry once” so I’m not worried about something that will future proof the build.

As an aside, do y’all think this setup will still work if I someday intend to haul a dirtbike on the hitch?

Thanks for your help!
