The difference between their older comebacks n new comebacks

So as a newer casual listener of straykids, I revisited some of their older comebacks like "district 9" "awkward silence" "my pace", "miroh", "side effects", etc.

and I can say that i'm kinda shocked when listening to their older music,

Their older songs just sound much more cohesive, intentional, planned out when it comes to the production, vocal lines, rap lines, etc.

I Feel like now they kinda just give vocal lines to Seungmin so he can show off his vocals but they don't think abt his lines actually sounding cohesive with the song.

Bc in This & That, Seungmin vocals sound very nice but it also sounds out of place, if that makes sense.

In their newer comebacks like chk chk boom, ceremony, this & that, they do much more of lazy rapping, talk singing, abcd chorus etc.

Like I feel 3racha had a stronger vision for straykids music during their younger years as a group.

Right now, I just feel they're kinda in a weird limbo era when it comes to making n releasing music.

Is my bloodline cursed or something?

I gen wanna know why the black women in my family run into situations where there getting bullied or mistreated by men. I had my fair share of getting bullied by boys at school. But then I hear stories from my mom about how she got bullied at school/work n abused with most of the men in her life. I also had a female relative who died from her boyfriend( did not know her well tho). My mom tells me stories of how my grandma, great grandma husbands were physically violent as well.

Is it something spirtual? Or is misogynoir n bullying really just embedded within this society

My mom opinion on skz

So my mom knows some kpop groups but she knows nothing about straykids

So I showed her a interview n a mv for fun, and got some opinions

I showed her a 5 min clip, and she immediately pointed out that Seungmin is the misfit/outcast of the group

But then she said that Seungmin seemed the most polite one n even thought he was the leader at first lol?

She said she don't find Hyunjin attractive, (I think she just didn't like a particular haircolor he had.)

She first thought that that Han n Bangchan were apart of the visual line

We watched God menu mv and she rated the dancing 3/10, in her words "they all seem stiff". I think she just doesn't like the dancing style

Do you guys agree with any of her snarky opinions?

is Felix's voice just like that or is he forcing it?

So I listen to this and that and it was catchy and more enjoyable than skz past songs like ceremony. But Felix's part in the chorus just sounded a lil off-putting n cringe. Everyone else voice in the chorus sounds smooth while Felix does this deep husky voice when he says "this and that".

I feel he needs some vocal training and also should realize that he does need to do a deep husky voice for all of his lines.

I say this bc his voice does sound pretty sometimes like in "cover me" or his solo song "unfair".

I think his voice is also a lil nasally

The members are all mid (vocals, rapping, dancing wise)

I don't wanna discredit skz, 3racha are def talented in their producing and skz as a whole can be great performers.

But outside of that their somewhat mid, but I think that actually works for them bc there no one who is like a beyonce or a jungkook.

But really I see comments saying Hyunjin is the best kpop boy dancer. He def not bad but more average at best. Idk I feel like he needs to work on being more smooth as a dancer.

And I'm sorry but their tones aren't the prettiest especially I.n. I actually think Changbin and lee know have the prettiest tones when singing but sadly thoose two are obviously not that interested with singing.

Honestly they need to start making Han sing more in their main comeback/singles, make him do a nasty high note or ad lib. Seungmin vocals are okay but I can tell he low-key lacks confidence n his tone is kinda bland.

The changbin/han fast pace style of rapping worked for their older songs. but now their raps sound out of place sometimes. Changbin needs to work on making sure his rap verse fits with the comeback style of music.

Society subtly does try to isolate Black ppl and it starts at a young age.

I don't want to be the type of person to reminisce too much on elementary school days, but I still want to share this post.

When I was 6-7, I was put in smaller math and English classes to catch up on certain skills and get extra help. So I would be in the main classroom then leave for about 30 or more min to get extra help. In my smaller classes, there was one other yt Mexican girl and 2 Black boys. The extra help/speech teachers absolutely favored the white girl. For example, in my smaller math class, we could all be raising our hands, but the teacher would never or rarely call on the Black kids. I remember one time we confronted the teacher, like saying, "Can you call on us this time?" The yt girl was also the first kid who "graduated" from the extra help/speech classes". I just feel those teachers made sure their focus was on the yt girl because they had more faith in her capabilities and intelligence. I remember certain assistants telling the yt girl how pretty she looks and complimenting her while ignoring me.

to add: This is why it's important for Black parents to be a supporter and an advocate in their child lives when it comes to education, building character, social confidence, etc. Bc the world will definitely not care.

I'm just so tired of this world

I'm 17, almost 18, and I just feel my existence has no worth within this society. For one, I have been bullied/picked on my entire life by mostly boys but sometimes girls too. I got booed at assemblies during middle school, received racial remarks in high school, was sexualized, etc. It doesn't help that I'm weird. For one, in elementary school I barely spoke but was very observant. I will admit sometimes I can be very awkward and glance at people too much (maybe I'm neurodivergent, idk), but I've also been struggling with social anxiety and shyness for most of my life. Now I do online school and stay inside. But now I have this male neighbor and his girlfriend (19/20 years old) who basically try to intimidate my mom and I We share a porch with them, and they put garbage in front of our door; they slam doors/walls and intentionally allow their pitbull to run outside without a leash. Mind you, we are not even living in the hood.

I just wanted to rant, not trying to get a solution or anything.

Is this appropriate?

So I'm in my late teens (a minor), and I have an older sis who is a much older adult. She struggles with mental health issues and has definitely been rude to me and others. But sometimes we have convos that make me somewhat uncomfortable. For example, I am not too interested in exploring my sexuality.

But she will ask me questions like, "Would I have a kink for furries?" making assumptions about my racial/sexual preferences, asking if I want to take a sip of her adult drink, etc.

I have been feeling like this entire life, I wonder if it will get better.

Even though I have leo placements, I don't have big talents or a big personality.
