She did not wait one month to message me like she said she would in the letter she dropped off.

I know unblocking her was a mistake, that is clear now.

My (now ex) girlfriend said she was hungry so I asked if she wanted me to bring her something. I (m23) didn’t take her (21) seriously when she said she wanted me to get her a list of things. I went over to where she was eating (burger king) it was right next to where I was, to talk in person to try and understand what was going on but she just shut me out, cold shoulder. The she got home and sent me an essay.

I really tried to understand from her perspective, I also apologized multiple times, but she seems incapable of acknowledging my feelings.

Did she eat all the food? No, she only got a burger, ate half. The took the pizza to go

Edit: she’s not pregnant and weights 130lb. I know she’d never eat that much which is why I thought it was a joke

Update: I did it in person. She apologized, but only after I said we were done. Then I got home and she sent me two long ass texts with actually quite genuine apologies but also a reason why she was already upset (traumatic event anniversary???) she said she “wants to be a better partner to me.” But honestly I just can’t reconcile her words with her actions. Words are easy but she hasn’t show that she’s capable of doing better. We already discussed needed to communicate better and then this happened.

Update: after saying 3 times that she would respect my decision there she was this afternoon dropping off a hand written letter to my doorstep (I blocked her number) saying she is going to go to therapy and do better and her love for me supersedes her ego and selfishness and that she’s “not giving up” (???). Also left gifts I had given her with the letter. Shouldn’t have read it
