1973 Pontiac Grand Am - Value?

Hi, I’m helping my grandmother sell my late grandfather’s 1973 Pontiac Grand Am 2-door and would appreciate some opinions on what it’s worth.

- Factory 400 2-barrel V8 / automatic
- Black exterior / burgundy interior
- A/C, power windows, power brakes, power steering, tilt, Rally II wheels
- Odometer shows 98k, but actual mileage is unknown
- Runs and drives great
- Solid frame and overall good condition
- Original factory documentation

CONS: A/C doesn’t seem to work, battery drains after sitting, and there’s a radiator/coolant leak around the cap

What would you say it’s worth as-is, and what would you realistically list it for?

I can post more pictures/details if needed.

Picked her up today … how did I do?

127k Miles - Single Family Owned - $5800 after tags

I’ve been keeping an eye out for a work truck and this thing popped up yesterday .. I’ve always loved the OBS fords but never thought I’d find a power stroke solid for a decent price. The second I saw the listing I knew it was game time.

She was definitely sitting for a while, but fired right up. not a crazy amount of rust and shifts like butter. (Also came with both tanks filled 😆)

Absolutely loving the thing already and can’t wait to see if I can bring the hood and roof paint back to life tomorrow!

How do y’all think I did?

1984 Mercedes 380SL V8 – Starts and immediately dies. Missing something?

Hey everyone, Need some advice on a stubborn fuel system. I’m reviving a 1984 Mercedes 380SL (135k miles) that sat in a garage for over 10 years.

The fuel was completely evaporated. Every part I replace improves it a tiny bit, but it still won’t stay running.

Here’s what I’ve done so far:

New Fuel Pump & Rear Lines: Replaced cracked hoses and the pump. Car would fire for a split second, then die.

New Injectors & Seals: Replaced all 8 injectors and seals. Car ran a tiny bit longer, then died.

Fuel Distributor Rebuild: Tore it down, ultrasonic cleaned it, and replaced all internal seals. Flow-tested the ports with lines detached—fuel runs clean and completely even across all 8 ports when the plate is pressed.

The car fires up on the first turn of the key, runs for a second or two, and immediately dies like it ran out of fuel. It only catches on that very first crank, which makes me think it’s running only on the Cold Start Valve prime, and the main 8 injectors aren’t taking over.

Once it dies, the sensor plate has normal hydraulic resistance (not locked up, can move it smoothly by hand). Pumping the plate lets it fire up briefly again. What’s left?

I don’t want to blindly throw $$ and time at it, but the fuel filter, accumulator, and Warm-Up Regulator are still original.

Could a clogged filter or bad accumulator be dropping system pressure just enough that the new injectors won’t “pop” open? Or am I looking at a massive vacuum leak bypassing the sensor plate?

Appreciate any insight on what to test next!

Prescription CH Glasses - from Mortal 📈

Picked up some CH glasses from Mortal. Paid about $135 USD with my prescription put in. Shipping to the US was crazy fast, took ~1 week to get here.

The frames are super solid. They got some good weight to them and don’t feel cheap or flimsy. Plastic feels high quality and the hinges open and close smooth.

The silver details on the hinges and sides are probably the best part. The engravings are super clean up close, which is usually where the cheap batches mess up. Mortal definitely hit the details on these.

They sit comfy on my nose and don't slide around. Getting them with the prescription lenses already done was 100% the move, can see perfectly right out of the box lmao.

Overall process was super smooth & mortal is a chill ahh dude. fast shipping to the States, good packaging, no issues. They feel solid and have that heavy, quality feel you want.

⭐️ 8.5/10, would buy again.

Thanks for looking ❤️
