Bearings for Pump Track

What are good bearings for pump track? I need ones that have more inertia to carry me further because my local pump track kinda sucks for skateboards in some sections. Longboard works fine though.

Currently I am running Bones Reds with Cruiser Wheels and I can get good speed, but unfortunately I can't get more than 1 lap. Not a big deal because the larger section is still enjoyable nevertheless.

So far I've got my eyes on Bones Big Balls.

Stupid Injury

(32YO) Fell off my skateboard doing an acid drop off a small gutter. The side of my knee hurts so I can't walk as well. Pain isn't unbearable but there is a lump although the swelling has gone down several hours after this photo was taken.

Is this injury bad or will it heal quickly? I'm currently at the doctors.

Also, I think my trucks are too loose to where the washer can rotate that may have caused me to lose balance when I landed, or I simply got wheel bite since I am running Penny Wheels.

Sanction Bearings

I normally run Penny wheels on my setup because I can travel easier. But I decided to put the original wheels on with new bearings on. It feels so slow compared to the Penny wheels. Sure, I can still get speed, just can't carry it as far on the pump track.

So do these bearings suck or do Harder wheels really slow you down?

I will still use these wheels/bearings because they are great for practicing Ollies, but I was hoping harder wheels would be faster on a smooth Skatepark.

Frontside Carve

I went to the Pump Track for the first time and I love it!

But I struggle with Frontside Carves.

Any advice? I tried finding videos but nothing. Only FS Kickturns.

Neighbors Dog

Neighbors Dog keeps barking at me when I ride the skateboard. Anyone else have this happen to them? He's a lovely dog and typically never barks at unnecessary things.

Skating Kata/Form for Ollies

I don't have my skateboard with me everywhere I go, so would doing the movements of an Ollie without a deck be good practice? I remember back when I was a kid, my Dad taught me and my friends how to Ollie by showing us the form and I believe this helped me learn how to Ollie.

But would this training further improve/maintain good Ollies?

Left Stick Aiming

Who else uses Left stick for Aiming? I used to use Right stick for Aiming in most games especially COD, but ever since playing Goldeneye again a few years ago and RE4 last year, I actually think it's better in some ways.

I also love how the game has you use the Left stick for Move Forward/Back, Left/Right turn aka Tank Controls, and then when you Aim, all the aiming is done on one stick. This is also the case with Goldeneye.

Obviously this is an old school method because Dual Stick controls wasn't really a thing yet.

Would be nice if Modern Games offered this control scheme.

Pivot Cups

How long do brand new Pivot Cups last? I don't wanna have one session and they're already cracked.

What are the factors that cause them to break so quickly? Body weight? Trucks too tight?

At the moment I cut 4-5 pieces of cotton to cushion the trucks, but this does not last long especially when doing ollies.

Really stupid design especially if you need your trucks at a specific tightness and have to keep undoing them. I just wanna skate ffs.

Legacy Stick Controls

Who else uses Legacy controls?

In case you don't know, Legacy Stick Controls is where the Left stick controls Forward/Back movement and Left/Right turning. The Right stick controls Left/Right strafe and Aim Up/Down.

Obviously this is a very strange way to play the game, but if you actually sink in a few hours, it doesn't take long to adjust to. Also, older games like Resident Evil 4, Goldeneye used these controls aka Tank Controls.

What are the benefits and disadvantages?

Benefits:

Great for beginners who aren't familiar with dual stick controls.

You get more precision with your Left/Right aim by gliding the Joystick against the Joystick housing. This method creates a Trackball Effect. Only downside is you will be constantly moving forward

Perfect for maps where vertical aiming is not needed as much e.g Racket

Disadvantages:

Can be awkward for players already used to Standard Controls.

Movement is not great as you lose speed when taking sharp turns.

Strafing takes longer to learn.

So I've actually come to liking this layout. It's perfect for Stealth plays/Flanks because you can track targets really well especially considering alot of players are Moving all over the place. I also pull off long range shots better too and that's with a Pistol.

Kicking Stance resembles Thai stance.

I have been training Tang soo do for over a month now and one thing that's stood out is the Kicking stance for when we do Pad Work, Kicking Drills is eerily similar to a Muay Thai stance i.e Weight on back leg, front foot raised slightly off the heel, albeit less square.

Is this normal? Or is my Dojang modernized ala Machida Karate?

Tbh, I'm kinda disappointed because I expected to be using a more traditional Front Stance. Why not encourage students to use a stance that suits them and/or utilize all stances?

Aussie here.

Why is this car so expensive 2nd hand? I don't care about it's reputation for being 'slow' (it's not even slow). The main issue is engine reliability.

I could get a R33 GTS-T for around the same price and we all know Skylines are more valuable.
