Type Me please: Summer or winter?

Hi all! Please can you type me? I thought I was a cool summer (just based on my own looking in the mirror) but then I feel like in pictures some cool summer colors make me look really washed out, and I think I look quite good in brilliant white (but never black which is why I thought I'm probably not a winter).

Glasses still on because I'm blind as a bat and I couldn't see the screen to take the photos if I took them off sorry!

Also double sorry if it's too many photos, I just went for a range! 😂

Just had to share this: hit below 100kg !

Had to post this on here because I knew this community would get it. HW was 156.6kg, weight on the day of my surgery was 137kg and today (9 months PO) I FINALLY broke the 100kg barrier. ☺️☺️☺️

It has been so slow going and I wouldn't change it for the world, but man am I glad I finally passed that threshold! GW I'm coming for you!! 💪

Will re designing my garden destroy the biodiversity?

We bought a house earlier in the year and, having never had a garden, have been very much leaving it to its own devices (as you can see 🙈).

I'm loving the biodiversity we have (lots of slugs, snails, spiders, butterflies and bumble bees having the time of their lives, but it does feel like what we're growing (mostly a lot of local weeds thanks to the birds) is taking over a bit.

We love the biodiversity, but would prefer the plants be a little more to our taste (herbs like rosemary and lavender, taller shrubs and bushes for privacy etc). We've agreed to wait to do any work pulling things out on it til after the summer just because right now we literally can't see the woods for the trees, we don't know what is there intentionally by the last owner and what has just sprouted up, but will we absolutely destroy the biodiversity if we start digging things up?

It definitely wouldn't be an all at once job (I am neither rich enough nor have the patience), but I'd like to avoid absolutely decimating whatever ecosystem is hanging out here in the name of personal preference. Also my cats love to eat the long grass because they're weird.

For reference it's a south facing garden in West Yorkshire so often damp and very sunny 😅

Any advice on either plants or just how to go about protecting what we have while we try and build something new is greatly appreciated🙏

IBS-M buds: how are we all coping with this hot weather?

TW: flare up

Specific to Europe I guess because it currently feels hotter than the sun 😂. My stomach has decided to cope with the heat by losing its damn mind - currently lay on the cool floor of the bathroom praying for the cramps to stop or for the dehydration to just knock me out til it's winter again 😅

What tips and tricks are we all using to survive or are we just ploughing through?

Real answers/commiserations and comedy posts to cheer me up as I pray for a swift recovery all welcome 😅

Medikinet XL and feeling woozy late evening?

Hey all!

I've just started titration on medikinet xl, lowest dose and the first few days have been pretty good with one weird exception: I take my medication with my breakfast at about 8am and then crack on with yk day, but I often go for an evening walk about 8.30pm to wind down before bed. Nothing strenuous, just a little couple miles stroll but this week during each evening walk I've felt like I was going to pass out and needing to sit down after about 20 minutes, to the point where my vision blurs, my breathing gets rapid and I get cold sweats. I am otherwise fit and healthy and I don't have this issue working out in the morning/early afternoon which I do pretty much daily. I've always eaten by this point so while the culprit seems to be low blood sugar I can't imagine HOW that would be the case as I eat my dinner about 6-6.30.

The only outlying thing is that I've had a gastric bypass so I wonder if that's impacting the half life of the medication but I'm checking if anyone else has experienced this side effect?
