Basically the title. He's blind in one eye and I expect him to lose what remains of the vision in his good eye within a year. It's not degenerating further right now but I don't expect that to last.

He's 35lbs and a menace because he's a puppy. I've had him 2 months. I'm working on training myself out of hand commands because those are my default. "Stay", "come", "leave it", and "step/hazard" are on my list for things to train him on. He knows "sit", "down", "potty", and his name alright. We're also still working on his leash minding and that'll need to be stepped up, along with separation anxiety work because I doubt the kennel-free day care will be a super great option when he's completely blind but who knows! Maybe that'll be good for him! Should we get him used to a vet based boarding before his enucleation/s? Would that help him be less scared, do you think?

I'm kinda spiraling atm so yeah, anything actionable is helpful. Not bucket list things though, please.

~1y2m, 30lb terrier thing. Male, neutered at shelter about a month before we got him. Glaucoma with complete vision loss in one eye and significant vision loss in the other. On two different types of drops (I can be more specific if needed). Also has an underbite and enamel hypoplasia if that's relevant. On probiotics and having soft stools because we're still working out which treats mess him up. DogAdvice told me to post here.

Got a dog threeish weeks ago and the entire time he's been chewing on himself and nibbling. He had a rash on his belly when we got him and overall seemed very itchy but it cleared up with a course of antibiotics. The nibbling/scratching is down to what I would consider in line with my dogs growing up. He gets anti-itch baths once a week though because the stuff is already paid for.

The problem that has become apparent in the absence of that is that when he doesn't have a toy within two feet of him and he's laying down, sometimes he will chew his entire leg like it's a chew bone. The whole leg. I watched him turn and stick his whole knee in his mouth and gnaw on it. I keep catching him with the lower part of one of his legs in his mouth, literally chewing on it like it's a toy with a content aura. If I put a toy near him, he will stop and chew the toy. If he knocks his toy off a couch, he will immediately turn and chew on his leg. If a person's hand is nearby, he's pretty likely to try to chew on that too. He's left two or so small scabs on his own legs from this. Like 1-2mm and he doesn't seem to bother them so I'm not considering it an active vet concern. He has lots of similarly sized bald patches on his legs though that make me concerned he's been doing this a long time. He just seems super indiscriminate about what he chews.

Any ideas for how to get him to stop or should I expect him to grow out of it?

So far, we've just been putting a bone or toy near him whenever we see him settle but that's obviously kinda annoying. Also, he is able to find toys on his own. He can see them from 2-3 feet away and we also regularly collect them all and put them into a box that he can and does retrieve them from.

Tree trimming, AC, roofing, home buying, pool care. They're all sending me these addressed to my dad because I'm on his phone plan and he owns a home. I live in an apartment and even if I didn't, all these companies are on my shit list now.

To be clear, I don't suicide bait or anything and I'd feel completely comfortable saying all this to their faces if given the opportunity. I told one guy that was trying to buy my dead grandma's house that he was a leech that brought shame on his entire family. Usually I just say that all of their friends and family find them irritating and hate everyone that does their same job. They would be embarrassed if anyone knew about their job whether they say it or not. I hold sex workers in higher esteem because their job doesn't involve being the human equivalent of a gnat.

And then I block them and mark as spam

Maybe one day I'll just be blacklisted and my torment will end... maybe one day...

My lungs hurt, I commute by foot, and I have exercise induced bronchospasm

I'm in my mid 20s, my dad is in his early 50s. That entire side of my family is good evidence that ADHD is genetic (myself included)

Basically, my dad is extremely avoidant of just everything. But the big problem is that he lies about his intention to do things and then makes up an excuse last minute for why he can't do it. I will fully ignore that I know he has no plan to follow through and keep asking questions as if he will in order to make him keep updating his lie. I will do this occasionally for the entire duration of whatever he's lying about since he usually is trying to run out the clock. The big thing he's currently doing this with is weekly and I'm doing it for seven hours usually (family agreement to meet and chip away at a dead, hoarding relative's house, so we'd be happy if he showed up at all) but I will just keep pretending like he's going to show up soon and ask for updated ETAs and stuff

I'm sure the lying stresses him out and stress and anxiety are why he's doing the lying and avoidance thing in the first place. So, **AITAH for still pretending like I think he's going to show, even though I know whatever answer he gives me will be a lie, just to make him continually confront the fact that he's avoiding an obligation he's agreed to?**

On the other hand, I couldn't do this if he was honest. All I'm doing is "believing" him.

Also the title is a joke since people seem to like hyperbole

Just blocked someone whose description was "Your votes and comments define you, not me 😁." How do you not read that and immediately know that this person will add nothing to your internet experience?

Missing necessary equipment, food allergies, religious exemptions, drug interactions

I have a bunch of allergies and intolerances so it's a fun game. Also good for learning what foods I need to ask about in restaurants lol. I can't eat my current video twice over, thrice if I don't have lactaid.

TLDR: Volunteer "uniform" shirt has a bible quote on it so I will not wear it. How do I tell them this next time I come in? Do you think they'd rather me not come?

I recently was looking for a food bank to volunteer with and found one that did not describe itself as a faith based organization. Yay. Go in for my first day and find that they start the day with prayer and the shirts they give out for a uniform have a bible quote on the back. Less yay. Now I have no problem sitting quietly and respectfully during group prayer. Religion can happen around me without involving me, I do not care. I do have a problem wearing scripture. I'm religious but not Christian and the idea of wearing scripture makes me uncomfortable and gives the impression that I support something that violates the ideals of my religion. And broadly violates my social ideals as well. The only draw for this place was that they were not faith based, I have places much closer or much more reputable that I can go to if it's religious or bust.

Would it be appropriate to ask if they have a version without scripture or just go straight to "I will not wear scripture, is the shirt I'm currently wearing acceptable?" They had me in a high vis vest today anyway.

How would you handle this? Preferably with the understanding that I find this non-negotiable.
