Some issues with my quail :(

Every time I pick him up he seems to sneeze? I'm not sure if his bedding is dusty maybe? They're currently on sand. I'm not sure what other details I should add. He's around 1-2 years old. Sometimes his crows get raspy. :( the vets here are awful with birds

Is it acceptable to still wear masks?

I recently got a tooth gap because of the orthodontist. It's kinda big and embarrassing. Is it still socially acceptable to wear a mask? I'm worried what others think.

is it safe to feed my cat dine in the morning and lunch and fancy feast in the evening?

my cat gets fed 3 times per day, he isnt a picky eater

is it safe to feed him dine in the morning and for lunch and then give him fancy feast for dinner? my parents feed him brekkie and lunch and they like giving him dine, while i prefer fancy feast. my cat will eat it all.

I just realised my tap is brass. Is this dangerous?

I know that brass is toxic to parrots. What do I do? I don't want heavy metal poisoning 😭

Budgie and pigeon! M

Soo I have a pigeon atm - she free flys around the room all day. Has a cage but doesn't use it at all.

My friend's budgie died recently so she's rehoming the other budgie to me!

(I will be getting the other budgie a friend once the breeder responds)

Basically what I was wondering is, is it safe if I keep the budgie in the cage in the house when I'm not home or will the pigeon bother them

(Budgie will be kept in the cage when I'm at school and let out when I'm home)

?

how shall i convince my parents to get a dog?

Goodmorning,

i hope you are well,

i am a highschooler.

edit: cuz i forgot to mention: i have a casual position at a fast food joint that pays okay, so i will be able to cover things like doggie school if i save up, (my parents ofc will still pay the vet bills and stuff) and i will be able to drive places next year around this month (with parental supervision) 😄 im planning to do a vet degree when i finish school, if they arent too connected with my dog(they might get too connected) i think i will be able to take him anyway (as i need to take the pigeon that lives in my office)

I currently have 25 birds, however 10+ of those are poultry, the rest are aviary birds, one lives in my "office" fulltime (i am looking for a freind for her) 😄 and a cat.

But i really would like a dog, because, like birds and cats arent really walkable, i really want to explore the city with a dog.

i do pet sitting/walking for fun but there isnt really enough demand in my city for that to be viable 😞

My parents are millonares so they will have no problem affording a dog, and theyre both retired so the dog will be entertained when im at school.

I have my dad convinced on letting me get one,

however, this is the problem, my mother is fully convinced she "strongly dislikes" dogs. However, she litterally takes photos of random dogs when she goes on walks with my dad. even yesterday, my mum had to drop my friends off. she smiled the whole time she saw those dogs. like "AWhh look the dog is following !!" type of stuff. ..

she also does the same for cats, but i got my cat behind her back, before my cat she used to say "I dislike cats" "they are just cats" but now she talks to my cat nicer then me, she litterally probaly spends more time with my cat then she does me atp. shes gotten to the point where shes like "cream(my cats name) is apart of the family." and "He is human being not cat" and "Creamy what are you looking at?"

i suspect it might be because when she was growing up, she used to have a german shepard, but her cleaner stole the dog and sold it to the market i believe. (she was born in korea during the time they were extremely poor. so i assume the dog ended up eaten.)

I think it would make everyone happier to get a dog.

another issue is i am only allowed to get a toy type dog, that is not super yappy. i was thinking of getting a bichon frise, theyre one of my favourite breeds. I want a rescue dog the most however they are mostly bull arabs or bull mixes, which my dad kinda dislikes, i believe its because... "They used to chase me around on my bike when i was a kid" 😭😭

anyway, i really would like a dog, but i am not sure how to convince them.
