Constroversy or PR Stunt?

I think KATSEYE has been a huge mess.

I know this has been said thousands of times but genuinely I think that this is some sort of PR stunt to get attention.

People have been saying things like "They would never take it to that level" and that "they are panicking". This is a billion dollar corporation. Even though it isn't right, they are using all of this to drive more views and engagement, which means more money.

I am not sure of this (obvioulsy) but it has to have something to do with it. Given the other scandals with HYBE all of those drove them attention and got the group more popular.

It is wrong and it is sad but this is the entertainment industry. As long as they get money they will do whatever it takes.

Let me know if you guys agree because I think originally this was PR and then it got out of control?

What are yalls thoughts (and pls be respectful as this is an opinion)

Review of Autechres " Tri Repetae ", " LP5 " and " Amber ".

Tri Repetae - 3.7/5

Tri Repetae was my second album from Autechre that I listened to, and it did not disapoint. This album feels like it was made on another planet by aliens. I love the textures and the way different sounds are incorporated into the tracks. I am not even sure how to describe this album other than beautifully arranged. It kind of feels like the tracks were arranged to go from more cohesive to more rigid and radical textures by the end of the album. My favorite track on this album is Leterel, which has become my favorite song in their discography (so far). I think this album truly encapsulated what a machine would sound like if it made music. It kind of sounds like some sort of alien music or transmission which makes it even more intruguing and really unique. As the album progressed, I already mentioned the album being more rigid or experimental as it progressed (atleast for me) and I didn't really liked that. From C/Pach moving onward the tracks didn't really sit with me and I was often falling alseep to them, with the exception of Gnit.

LP5 - 3.9/5

I first listened to this album when I was trying to get more into their discography. I played most of the tracks a few times and I started to love it more and more. I have to listen to this album when I am in a specific mood in a specific place, like for example, in the car. It just makes more sense. The first five tracks I loved so so much. Out of the 5, Rae and Acroyear2 were one of my favorites. Personally, the track Melve I liked a lot because it kind of sounded like I was in a horror movie or in a dark place I couldn't escape. It gave me this eerie vibe and I think they knew people were not going to expect that. I listened to the rest of the album while in the car with my family and my headphones were in. It was absolutely beautiful. I am not sure how I felt but it was just something in me that changed. I found this album by randomly scrolling through their discography and it turned out to be the best Autechre album I have listened to so far. My favorite track was Rae. I have heard other people say this as well but I love the fast pace drums (sorry if I get that wrong) and the soundscapes in the back while the drums are going.

Amber - 3.3/5

This was my first ever Autechre album to listen to. I have a hard time listening through albums straight through but I managed to get mostly finished with "Amber". To me, this album was very intentional, I would say. I don't know how to describe it but it is very sophisticated. I think since it was my first album I didn't really lie it because I had just gotten into the IDM scene, but I am going to re-listen to the album for a second time. I know people have gotten mad I said that this album was "boring" and I take that back. I would say it is simple and too ambient for my taste, but I can recognize its impact it had on the public and electronic music fans. It is an interesting album and not a bad one at all but it just isn't for me unfortunately. The most that I like about the album is the atmosphere it displays. It was my first album so I didn't expect the alien kind of vibe to it almost like the unknown., but ultimately not for me.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I have been kind of scared to post this review because I already know people will fry me in the comments but this is just by opinion so please do not take this as a jab or me being "unappreciative". This is my opinion and you can have yours, and I respect that.

You can disagree with me but please don't be rude or disrespectful. I am new here so please I would like advice, feedback, and also see if anyone agrees or disagrees.

This is my first time doing a long form review, so please bare with me. Not everything may be perfect so I would appreciate feedback. I tried my best.

I'm sorry but I don't care how influential it is. I will awknowledge that but that is how I feel.

Questions about Autechre : New Fan

I have another question. I am a fairly new Autechre fan and i have some questions

  1. How do they get the name or their title tracks.? To me it feels like some type of alien language but its really cool

  2. How do you pronounce " Autechre ". I pronounce it like Aw-Tek-Er but I used to pronounce it like Aw-Te-Sure.

I would appreciate anyone who could answer and I wanted to choose Reddit before Google to ask the community!

Take on Autechres " Amber " Album

I know this has probaly already been talked about but does anyone else think that Autechre's "Amber" album is kind of boring. This was my first Autechre album to listen to and I was quite bored. Th eonly track I really liked was Foil and it seemed boring and underwhelming for me. Does anyone else think this>

Wanting More Pure Experimental Music in K-pop

This might be a rough take but I kind of want more experimental music and boundary genre pushing music is kpop. I know groups like StrayKids, ATEEZ, aespa, NMIXX, etc have pushed boundaries but I want a girl group full of non traditional structures and embracing the rawness. I kind of want music to be made like IDM or deep techno without including basic or projected verse to chorus structures. This may sound a bit bizarre to some but this is just a thought and I know not everyone might agree. I think if an agency or group were to actually dive into this then it would bring more attention because it's weird and non - traditional. Having listened to Autechre, Bjork and Arca I think K-pop can push boundaries like they are doing currently with their music. This is just a thought. Let me know if you agree!
