CT Technologist salary in Portugal ?

I am an overseas CT Technologist with dual citizenship, one being Portuguese citizenship. I have approximately 14 years of experience. I am wondering what the salary prospects are for a CT or X-ray Technologist in Portugal? In cities such as Porto or Lisbon?

What are the job opportunities like? Is it difficult to get a job?

Where in the UK can you live comfortably and get on the property ladder with a 65-70k household income?

As the title asks, where could you live comfortably and get onto the property ladder as well with a 65-70k household income?

No kids and don’t plan to have kids. Maybe a fur baby!

We are a same sex couple, so ideally somewhere open minded that still has good transport links to London or Edinburgh

We could realistically put 90k down for a down payment.

We’ve considered Oxford, Edinburgh, Brighton, Bristol, Bath and York but not sure if our down payment and salary make any of these areas attainable?

EUSS family permit and presettled status approval still available?

My partner and I haven’t live in UK since Feb 2020. I got settled status and we have both visited the UK every 2 years since leaving (2022,2024 and will return this year as well) so my settled status 5 year clock has been constantly reset from my understanding so I technically haven’t had a 5 years continuous absence.

My partners UKVI account still technically says presettled status but we are realistically not able to move back to the UK until 2027.

My understanding is even if he moved back with his technical presettled status he would need to show 30 months of living in the UK before getting settled status which would work as his presettled status expires in Feb 2029.

I’m wondering if we would still be eligible to apply for an EUSS family permit in 2027 even if my partners account technically already shows presettled status, and could he apply for presettled status again in hopes that his new presettled status would expire later and allow him 30months of living in UK to be eligible for settled status?

I know the family visa route is also an option but it seems incredibly costly.

Wondering if anyone else has been in a similar situation or has had an EUSS family permit and further presettled status granted ?

Where would you go on a honeymoon for roughly 2-3 weeks in September? We would be flying out of Canada and ending up in NZ. (Wedding in Canada, live in NZ)

Up for anything! Relaxation, adventure, I’m open!

30 day bus / train pass

Those who commute daily from Zone 4 to Wellington station and then also catch a bus, is there any way to buy a 30 day bus/train pass or is it either or?

For those who have lived outside of Wellington, how does Welly rank compared to those other spots?

Affordable places to buy condo with 160-165k household income?

Wondering if there are any areas of Vancouver that are still somewhat affordable to purchase a condo. A standalone freehold is pretty far out of reach but I’d likely have a joint household income of 150-165k.

Potentially looking at the port moody or coquitlam area?

Mount pleasant?

New west?

180-200k down payment.

I was granted settled status for my time in the Uk from Oct 2015 to Feb 2020 (I explained that I would have come back a few months to fulfill 6 months of the 5th year but couldn’t do to Covid and was granted settled status in October 2021 after applying late)

I’ve been out of UK since then.

My partner was granted PSS in Feb 2019 and also has not lived in UK since Feb 2020.

I have returned to UK for visits in 2022, 2024 to reset the 5 year clock. My partner has as well but I don’t know if his timer resets in the same way with PSS. His UkVI account says pss active until Feb 2029. Not sure if this is still applicable though with his absence of 6ish years?

We are considering moving back to the UK next year. Can we still move back with this status? I’m assuming I might be ok with my SS but I don’t think my partner would make it the 30 months living in UK before his PSS expired or before HO potentially curtailed his status.

Wondering what sort of pathway if any we could still safely move back to the UK ? Or maybe this ship has now sailed.

I currently work in New Zealand as a diagnostic radiographer and have a salary of equivalent 58k gbp per year before tax.

Is it nuts to be considering coming back to the UK? Being on Europe’s doorstep again is really calling to me but I might be romanticising what the UK is like and being a radiographer in the NHs.

I’ve been hearing that it’s been increasingly harder to get jobs in the UK as a radiographer. Especially as a new graduate band 5. I’m not currently in the UK. Is the job market as bad as people say. How is it getting a band 6 position. Is the job market just flooded? I have a good few years of experience and some cross sectional experience (10+ years of radiography experience) and just wondering if I’m cooked if I want to venture back to the UK with the current job market?

Wondering if the Eastern Suburbs like Greenridges, Barton, Sandhills, Risinghurst are still considered “dodgy” or whether this is a safe place to live?

Wondering how old you were when you bought your first home in Edinburgh, what it cost and if you like your neighbourhood?

Where is one area in Edinburgh you’d never live in?

I’m a radiographer currently living abroad who has worked in General, CT, Litho and am currently undertaking some PACs duties.

What sort of PACS roles are there within the NHS? I’ve been searching NHS jobs but don’t see many pop up.

Are these typically called PACS administrator jobs? Or should I be searching another keyword?
