Moving back to LA after many years overseas and I'm looking to rent a 2 BR in Palms - and I noticed that there are a few rental management companies that each have a lot of properties in the area: Lido Apartments, KMK Management, Miller & Desatnik, etc.
I'd be very grateful for any opinions, thoughts, etc on these companies and whether any is better than the other(s).

We’re booked for one night (TK stopover hotel) in the AC Hotel Macka in Istanbul. I’d be very grateful for any suggestions for local food and sightseeing in the nearby vicinity (preferably walking distance).
We’ll arrive at the hotel around 9:30 pm, and would love to get a late bite - any recommendations for late-night eats?
We’ll leave the next afternoon, and so would welcome suggestions for how to spend the morning until mid-afternoon.

Adjuncts, how did you get your teaching gig?
I’m moving back to the US after many years overseas doing human rights and refugee protection work. I’d love to teach a class as an adjunct, as a longer term goal is full time teaching (preferably clinical) - but I’m a bit clueless on how to get a job. I’m moving to an area where I don’t (yet) have a professional network.
Any thoughts?
My mom is turning 90! We want to organize a dinner for around 15 people, in a restaurant with amazing food. We want a fixed menu / family style, in a private room (her hearing isn’t good enough for a big, open, noisy restaurant) that’s on the ground floor or has elevator access (she uses a walker, so stairs are out of the question).
Budget…oh, I don’t know, maybe up to $250 per person or so?
Recommendations?
It will be my first time going to the AILA annual meeting in San Diego next week. How do people usually dress?
