I Think Some People Misunderstand How Mahito's Technique Works

I see an astonishingly large amount of people saying stuff along the lines of "you need soul damage to kill Mahito", which is just not true at all.

First of all, let's get the obvious out of the way; anyone with RCT output can kill Mahito regardless of whether they have soul damage or not. Regardless of how Idle Transfiguration works, Mahito will always be a curse and have the same weaknesses of any curse. Also, it should be pretty obvious that any lethal domain has the capability of killing Mahito. We know that domains can easily bypass the effects of cursed techniques (as seen with Gojo's infinity), so Mahito cannot protect himself from opposing domains unless he risks using his own domain.

Now, to get to the main point; a sorcerer without soul damage can kill Mahito. Many think otherwise, but it's the truth. Because, like any other technique, Idle Transfiguration requires cursed energy to be activated and be used. Mahito does have an absurd amount of cursed energy, but he doesn't have infinite cursed energy and thus he can't use Idle Transfiguration forever.

Additionally, Idle Transfiguration has been shown to make Mahito feel some degree of "burn out" if used at a larger scale. During the Shibuya Incident, Mahito was shown to be "nerfed" to a degree when he created a clone of himself. His clone couldn't even output Idle Transfiguration, and the original Mahito was stated to be weaker overall after creating his clone. So there is evidence pointing towards the fact that it does take a considerable amount of cursed energy to heal/recreate large parts of his body. So if you are able to frequently destroy large chunks of Mahito's body, he will eventually run out of cursed energy.

Furthermore, Mahito cannot create flesh out of "thin air". Every time we see Mahito use Idle Transfiguration, any flesh created always stems from pre-existing flesh. For example, if Mahito's arm were to be cut off, to make a new arm he would have to create new flesh from his shoulder or another pre-existing point/area of his body. This means that if you were to destroy the entirety of Mahito's body (regardless if you have soul damage or not), he would have no flesh to create new flesh from, and thus would be unable to heal himself.

TlDr; Mahito requires cursed energy to use his technique, and his technique itself requires Mahito to a) use more cursed energy to recreate large portions of his body and b) have some pre-existing flesh to make new flesh from. Thus, you do not need soul damage to kill Mahito. Sure, it is the safest and most efficient way to kill him, but there are other ways too. If you are able to destroy large portions of his body, destroy is entire body, force him to waste excessive amounts of cursed energy, etc, then you have a pretty surefire way of winning against him.

Tze should prioritize optimizing JJS next update

(image unrelated)

Imma try and make this short; Tze should really focus on optimizing JJS in future updates. And I'm suggesting this primarily due to the fact that lag is so horrid it's not even funny.

Ever sense update 1.76, or the Kuroushi/Ryu update, the lag I'd get in public servers is straight up unbearable. I'm talking less than 20 fps with the lowest graphics settings (and I know this mostly isn't just a me problem, as I can play plenty of other games on the highest graphic setting with little to no problem).

And the worst part about this is that this lag is completely messing with JJSs core gameplay. Most of JJSs gameplay relies on you to be able to react to your opponent, whether that be by m1 trading, tracking your opponent, blocking, using moves, and more. But the lag present in public servers simply makes all of that practically impossible. I've been basically playing JJS exclusively in private servers because it's basically impossible to play in any kind of public servers, and that cuts out 80% of JJSs content.

Learnable Technique: Talismans

Overview

Talismans, a sub category of learnable techniques, consist of unique combinations of cursed writing, symbols, and more to produce a desired effect. Due to their simple nature, talismans can be mass-produced to some degree, and any sorcerer can learn to use talismans regardless of their current skill level. However, the skill required to successfully create and use certain talismans heavily depends on the complexity of the desired talismans.

Talismans come in the form of paper tags with cursed writing, symbols, and more written/drawn on them. Generally, the complexity of the talisman determines how large the paper tag needed will be. However, experienced talisman creators can create extraordinarily complex talismans even with small paper tags (after all, to excel at jujutsu is to excel at subtraction).

Talismans can theoretically produce any desired ability the creator wants/needs, but they can be separated into five different simple categories based on their desired abilities;

-Sealing Talismans; talismans used to seal and restrict a target. Sealing talismans usually fall under two sub categories, being movement seals and cursed energy seals. Movement seals are generally used to restrict the movement and displacement of a target, whereas cursed energy seals are used to restrict a target's cursed energy output.

-Boosting Talismans; talismans used to give the target some form of a "buff". Boosting talismans are commonly used to give a temporary boost to a target's cursed energy, whether that be their efficiency, output, or reserves. At higher skill levels, some boosting talismans can even be made to produce reverse cursed technique. However, due to the nature of reverse cursed technique, these types of boosting talismans can only be made by and used on the original source of the reverse cursed technique, aka the creator of the talisman (unless the talisman is created by someone who can output reverse cursed technique on any individual).

-Shikigami Talismans; talismans used to create and summon simple shikigami, using the talisman as a summoning medium. Usually, the shikigami created by these talismans do not have a unique, individual ability of their own. Instead, these shikigami are used to aid in simple tasks or even direct fights. Additionally, the creator of these talismans can choose who the shikigami will take commands from, allowing for selected individuals to use and command the shikigami with no issue.

-Barrier Talismans; talismans used to create the perimeter of a barrier of some kind. At higher skill levels, these talismans can give unique properties to the barriers they create, such as the barriers transparency, who can enter and leave the barrier, and much more. It should be noted that if a barrier talisman is tampered with, the barrier will be destroyed.

-Miscellaneous Talismans; talismans with abilities that do not fall under the four previous categories. Due to the extremely unique nature of these talismans, it takes much more skill to create and use them than it would take to create and use sealing, boosting, shikigami, and barrier talismans. Generally, successfully creating and using a miscellaneous talisman requires knowledge and mastery of most, if not all, of the other four categories of talismans.

I hate when people call anything they don't like "Israel"

Now don't get me wrong y'all are completely in the right for criticizing the government of Israel, the IDF, etc. But it gets to a point when everyone just defaults to relating anything they don't like to Israel.

Like, I remember a time when people would be creative when hating on shit, or at least use their brain. But now all you gotta do is say "oh thing I don't like supports Israel" and everyone suddenly thinks you are the smartest and funniest person on the Earth. But news flash, you are neither of those things.

This might be a stretch, but it kinda feels similar to when people call anything they don't like "gay", "autistic", or whatever. Instead of using their brain for two seconds and criticizing something, they'd much rather just call that thing something that they, and a lot of people, don't like.

In the end, it just feels like the epitome of Instagram reels humor. And there's nothing more unfunny than reels humor.

Gojo Deserves A Mini Rework

Imma try to keep this short; I think Gojo should get a mini rework in the future, specifically a visual rework.

I don't know if it's just me, but imo compared to most of the rest of the characters in the game, Gojo just feels "bland". Almost like cardboard; it's reliable, but boring.

None of his moves really have the visual aspect that you'd expect from Gojo. Especially compared to some newer characters like Hanami, Ryu, Naoya, etc, he just feels outdated. I think the worse offenders of this blandness are the moves rapid punches and twofold kick. Other than their finishers, neither move has any visual factor to it. Hell, his special has more of a visual factor than either of them.

Create A Common Binding Vow That Any Sorcerer Could Use

The challenge is simple; make a BV that any sorcerer could use, similar to the Revealing Ones Hand BV.

Of course, I'll go first;

Binding Vow: Self-Imposed Injury

A common binding vow that any sorcerer could use, Self-Imposed Injury is a simple binding vow that gives the user a clear "buff" with a "cost".

In return for injuring themselves in some way during a battle of any kind, the user gains a temporary buff to their cursed energy output for as long as the injury is left unattended. The larger and more impactful the injury is, the greater buff to their cursed energy output the user experiences.

Cursed Technique: Luminous Flux

Overview

Luminous Flux gives the user the ability to create and manipulate their cursed energy in a way that gives it the properties of light, namely being the brightness emitted by light and the heat created.

Lapse: Corona

Using Corona, the user can create small spheres of light from their fingertips. These spheres can be detonated by the user, which creates a blinding flash of light and, at higher outputs, immense heat. However, the user is not immune to the effects created by the spheres of light, so using Corona at higher outputs requires extreme caution.

Extension Technique: Scintilla

By making a flicking motion with one of their fingers, the user can launch one of their spheres of light outward. Once launched, the user can slightly manipulate the trajectory of the sphere of light, but not to a large degree. If the launched sphere comes into contact with a solid surface, it will detonate and create a blinding light.

Extension Technique: Flashbang

By snapping their fingers, the user can immediately detonate up to two light spheres at once.

Extension Technique: Total Disorientation

By clapping their hands together, the user can detonate several light spheres at once, maxing out at ten spheres being detonated at a single instance. The flash of light created by Total Disorientation is insane compared to even individual light spheres when created at a higher output. Due to the cost of Total Disorientation and the risk it poses for the user, it is advised to only use it when absolutely needed.

Reversal: Umbra

Using Umbra, the user can create a pitch-black sphere, it's size being slightly larger than the light spheres created by Corona at base output. Over time, this black sphere absorbs any light and heat within a 5 meter radius of the black spheres current location. Due to the nature of the effects created by the black sphere, it can only be used in an enclosed room/area. Unlike the light spheres created by Corona, only one black sphere can be created at a time.

Jujutsu Mutation: Prismatic Gaze

Overview

Prismatic Gaze is a biological mutation belonging exclusively to members of the Kagamidou Clan, a clan of jujutsu sorcerers that dates back to the Edo period. This mutation gives the user's eyes and naturally produced cursed energy a prismatic coloration, featuring several, constantly shifting, hues of color.

Unique Jujutsu Ability: Unpredictable Cursed Energy

The user's cursed energy is in a constant erratic state. In other words, the user's cursed energy is constantly shifting and changing its signature, making it extremely unpredictable and almost untraceable for the average sorcerer. However, this unpredictable state makes complex applications of their cursed energy almost impossible to accomplish for the user.

My Prediction For Season 4

(MAJOR spoilers for the manga included)

Now that season four is coming out real soon (most likely around early 2027), I might as well share my personal predictions for what all we are going to see in season 4.

First, let's do some math;

Season One is 24 episodes long and covers chapters 1 through 63 (64 chapters total). Covers 2.63 chapters per episode.

Season Two is 23 episodes long and covers chapters 64 through 137 (74 chapters total). Covers 3.22 chapters per episode.

Season Three is 12 episodes long and covers chapters 138 through 181 (44 chapters total). Covers 3.67 chapters per episode.

Now, because season Three is called part 1 of the Culling Games, and season 4 is called part 2 of the Culling Games, we can safely assume that season 4 will also have around 12 episodes total, and thus have a similar episode-to-chapter rate (so it'll most likely cover around 44 chapters total with a rate of roughly 3.67 chapters per episode).

Season three ends on chapter 181, so if we add the estimated 44 chapters that season 4 will cover, that gets us an ending chapter of 225.

Now, chapter 225 takes place during Shinjuku Showdown, and ends with Gojo's domain being destroyed and Gojo's neck being cut by Malevolent Shrine. Now, I do think it's possible that Mappa chooses to end season 4 on a cliffhanger, I doubt they will end season 4 mid way through Shinjuku Showdown.

So, wheres the most likely stopping place other than chapter 225? Chapter 223, aka the "The Strongest Sorcerer In History VS. The Strongest Sorcerer Of Today" panel.

So, in conclusion, season 4 will most likely either end on chapter 223 or 225. Either way, that means we are getting;

-Hakari VS Charles

-Hakari VS Kashimo

-Maki and Kamo VS Naoya

-Kenjaku's meeting with the US government

-Yuki and Choso VS Kenjaku

-US soldiers entering the Culling Games

-Yorozu's reveal

-Sukuna taking over Megumi's body

-Maki and Yuji VS Sukuna

-Sukuna VS Yorozu

-Gojo being unsealed

-The Very Start of Shinjuku Showdown

And with all of that happening in season 4, I'd say it's safe to assume that season 5 and maybe even season 6 will cover the rest of Shinjuku Showdown and the entirety of the Sukuna Raid.

(take this all with a grain of salt, as none of this is guaranteed or concrete. At the end of the day it is all speculation)

Daido Doesn't Get Enough Love

Out of all the characters who appear in JJK, out of all the sorcerers who make some form of impact on the story, Daido is by far the most underrated. And he isn't even a sorcerer.

I mean, this man has no cursed energy, no cursed technique, supposedly no HR, no jujutsu anything. He's just a really strong fighter and swordsman. So strong in fact that he was able to land several critical slashes on a curse Naoya, whom of which is not only a special grade, but also one of the fastest characters in the verse. AND Daido couldn't even truly see Naoya.

Daido is genuinely that guy. He comes out of nowhere, gets his hands on a Katana, humbles a special grade curse while having no cursed energy or jujutsu of his own, survived the fight, and then just leaves.

Sure, he is technically just a plot device so Maki can get her second awakening, but that doesn't make Daido any less of a GOAT.

About Yuki's Technique

I think Star Rage is one of, if not the, most misunderstood techniques in all of JJK.

Star Rage gives Yuki the ability to give herself virtual mass. This virtual mass has no affect on herself, but affects other beings. However, there is a threshold to how much virtual mass Yuki can give herself. We are shown that if she bypasses this threshold, then she can create a miniature black hole at the cost of her own life (also apparently Yuki can just ignore concepts but this is never really brought up again).

Now, what i think people misunderstand about Star Rage is the threshold of how much virtual mass is too much for Yuki to handle. I see people saying stuff like "Yuki can punch with the mass of a planet" or "Yuki can punch with the mass of a star", and these statements are just obviously false. Think about it; if Yuki could punch someone with the mass of a star, that would mean that Kenjaku would've been turned into a red mist the moment Yuki came into contact with him. But this didn't happen, as instead Kenjaku was simply flung backwards and only had an arm be broken. And it's not because Yuki was holding back or because Kenjaku has plot armor, but because Yuki simply cannot safely punch someone with the mass of a starvor planet.

We are never given a true explanation of Star Rage's threshold, but this is my personal explanation, and probably the most likely explanation:

Yuki's threshold is much lower than many think. She can safely punch people with the mass of a set number of tons, but that's it. Then she reaches her threshold where she begins to experience the mass she has adding onto herself. But, you may be thinking, how is her threshold so low? Doesn't she need a lot of mass to create a black hole. And the answer to that is simple; the black hole isn't the immediate cause of reaching the threshold.

To put it simply, once Yuki passes her threshold, she starts to be gradually affected by the mass. In other words, she experiences a fraction of the virtual mass she adds to herself if it bypasses the threshold. And this fraction of mass gets bigger and bigger the more mass she adds onto herself, until it reaches a point where Yuki feels the complete weight of the mass she has added.

This explanation isn't perfect, nor is it canon, but it does make it so that Yuki is somewhat balanced in the series (and it makes it so no one was holding back or no one has plot armor). Jujutsu is all about gaining something and losing something else of equal value, so it wouldn't make sense for Yuki to have a technique that gives her a lot while losing little to nothing.

How Strong Would Have Sukuna Been If He Never Consumed His Twin?

Assuming that Sukuna wasn't on the brink of starvation and never ate his twin, how strong would he be?

Twins are seen as one entity in terms of jujutsu, so they both share the same cursed energy and thus limit each twin by an insane degree. Plus, in this scenario, Sukuna wouldnt have his perfect body for jujutsu either.

But surely Sukuna still has some innate talent that isn't connected to the fact that he ate his twin, right? Sure, Sukuna is as strong as he is because of the fact that he ate his twin, but 100% of that strength didn't come from his twin. At least some of it had to be Sukuna's innate talent.

So how strong would Sukuna be if he never ate his twin and they were still alive?

Cursed Tool: Twin Spheres of Gluttony

Overview

The Twin Spheres of Gluttony is a special grade cursed tool consisting of a pair of two large iron balls, each one connected to its own individual metal chain. Each iron ball seemingly has its own mouth, rows of jagged teeth visible even when the mouth itself is closed.

At face value, the user of this cursed tool can manipulate the Twin Spheres of Gluttony in two ways; manipulating the iron balls and manipulating the metal chains. As long as the user has each chain in their hands, the user can manipulate either factor of this cursed tool.

  • Iron balls: each iron ball can open its mouth relatively wide, and bite down with extreme force. Once bitten, it is quite hard to remove the jaws of the iron balls due to its bite force and jagged teeth. Using the mouths of the iron balls, this cursed tool can be used to grab, grapple, and restrain targets.
  • Metal chains: each of the chains connected to the iron balls can have its length manipulated to some degree. Each chain can be extended up to 6 meters, and can be shortened to a mere 6 inches. Similarly to the iron balls of this cursed tool, the metal chains of the Twin Spheres of Gluttony can be used to grapple and restrain targets if the chains are extended enough.

Curses Technique: Cursed Energy Siphon

Like any other special grade cursed tool (aside from Playful Cloud), the Twin Spheres of Gluttony has its own unique cursed technique imbued into its very being. In this case, this cursed tool's cursed technique is Cursed Energy Siphon. Whenever one or both of the iron balls bites down onto a target with cursed energy, it will automatically siphon that cursed energy out of the target. If the user of the Twin Spheres of Gluttony has one or both of the chains in their grasps while the iron balls are siphoning cursed energy, the user will slowly gain that cursed energy being siphoned. However, if the user loses their grasp on the chains, or if the chains themselves are broken, the user will no longer gain any siphoned cursed energy. The same logic applies if the iron balls are removed from the target, or if the iron balls are broken to such a degree that they can no longer bite down onto a target.

Anyone Else Just Not Like Dabura?

Imma just get to the point; I just don't like Dabura. Whatever reason it may be, I just cant get myself to like him. Don't get me wrong, he definitely is a strong character, and possibly one of the most talented characters we have ever seen, but those might just be why I don't like him.

Firstly, imo he just doesn't feel original. He's really just another "strong character who's lonely/disconnected from others due to their strength". Including Dabura, we've already had FIVE whole characters who got this exact same trope, being Gojo, Sukuna, Kashimo, Modulo Yuji, and now Dabura. I love Gege, and I think he most definitely can write a great story with great characters if given the right circumstances. But I really wish he wouldn't have just done another "important strong character who's lonely". And what makes it worse is the fact that every other "strong but lonely" character feels like their own character. Gojo, Sukuna, Kashimo, and Yuji all have their own unique traits, personalities, goals, and more that make them feel like their own character. But I just don't get this same feeling with Dabura.

Lastly, he just kinda feels like your average oc a 12 year old made. Yuta gets a lot of hate for being "OP for no reason" and "having OC vibes", but ultimately Dabura fits this description, not Yuta. I mean, in summary he's;

"A super strong and tall alien from space with cool ass devil horns who is also the strongest of his race. He is super duper strong, can chuck around buildings like their nothing, can make super cool light beams which are super powerful, and more. Also, he learned RCT, DE, and CTR (the pinnacles of jujutsu btw) within minutes of fighting Mahoraga just because he 'noticed an odd energy on Mahoraga's blade'. ALSO, he is so badass and super duper strong that he was compared to Sukuna the moment he was introduced".

Yuta has actual reason and writing for why he is as strong as he is, whether that be for the fact that love creates the strongest curses, the fact that he is related to the Fujiwara, and more. But Dabura just doesn't have any of that buildup or writing to back up his strength.

Honestly, if Gege and Yuji just had the ability to make Modulo much longer than it originally was, then all my problems with Dabura could be solved, as all my problems with him stem from the fact that he just doesn't have enough time in the story to give reason for his strength. I mean, throughout the entirety of JJK where shown and told that Gojo and Sukuna are the strongest. We are proven time and time again why they are the strongest. And yet, Dabura just appears and he's immediately as strong as them (or at least compared to them), and even has more innate talent then anyone else in the series.

Maybe Im just misunderstanding Dabura, and I kinda hope I am. Cause if I'm not, it's kinda disappointing that Gege dropped the ball when it came to making Dabura's character. JJK has so many diverse, wonderfully written characters throughout its series, but imo Dabura just isn't one of them.
