Jorvik boots!
Wore my new Jorvik boots out today to break em in before the festival this weekend! Ngl, I really enjoyed wearing them out for errands.

As per some advice I did swap my belt.
I’ve got a cloak, seax, sword and some pouches, boots and wool left wraps (boots and wraps not pictured cus I was too lazy to put em on)
I’ve got plans to replace the tunic embroidery with tablet woven bands.
Don’t mind the very haphazard way I put on the cloak. I didn’t want to cover the whole kit with it, but in the process I made it look weird. I have a copper turnbuckle for it made by hand by a blacksmith though!
The cloak is also made of cotton… it’s The middle of summer where I live and it’s too warm to justify a wool tunic. I will likely make one myself soon, but for the purposes of the festivals I go to the cotton sells the point.
Idk if this belongs here, but I like to draw “Vikings” warriors in my downtime sometimes and wanted to share some of em
I try to be reasonable with the historical accuracy. I know often times they wouldn’t have as much armor in a big group…. But it’s more fun to draw them all having helmets lol.
Just my size too! Got me some new work pants!
I’ve been trying to figure these out. I know of the Burgh Castle late Roman helmet that is a nasal helmet with cheek guards. But these types remind me of 9-10th century nasal helms with cheek flap helmet guards. Is there a historical reference for these, or are these artistic liberties for larp? If they’re real when and who used them?
This is my progress on my jarl kit. I still need some boots, pants, and a nice sword. But so far I’m happy with what I’ve got
Went to futureball airsoft yesterday. It rained most of the day but man it was a good time. Wanted to share some cool kit pics
This is one of my airsoft kits I used yesterday. I rarely mix camos. But sometimes about this combo makes me really happy. Kreuzotter doesn’t match the backdrop in the photos perfectly, but the map had dark swampy areas with mossy logs, and it was raining all day. In those areas the kreuzotter was perfect.
I just had a custom flektarn plate carrier made using official German pattern material. And imo it looks immaculate
