You ever buy a polish based on pics and hope for the best, but prepared for the worst? This is exactly what’s happen when I did my mani last night with PFD You’re Going to be Popular. Under night yellow light it’s just really glowy, and I was massively disappointed by ILNP Flower Child against my warm olive skin. But this morning OMG, my nails glow, they shift, they are everything!!! I’m just insufferable right now staring at them every which way.
Left hand is ILNP Opal Sunset, also beautiful and my second time wearing it.
Thought the colors worked well enough off each other to pair them up on each hand.
Solar polishes for the win!
I’ve thought to make this skittle late into summer thinking they might work. Was surprised how well they look together. Keep moving my hand back and forth😁.
All but one polish used is Cracked.
Thumb to pinkie:
OPI - Malaga Wine (2x)
Cracked Strawberry Jam (3x) topped with Make it Pretty (1x)
Cracked Lone Star Rose (3x)
Cracked Strawberry Jam (2) Street Corner Bouquet (1)
OPI Malaga Wine (2)
Really like how these turned out.
They are close, but not the same. Each one def calls for a different mood.
Right hand: Cracked - Blood Orange Sangria is def a bright happy summer color that looks beautiful and presentable for all occasions.
Left hand: Mooncat - Pandemonium leans more orange, so if you don’t have the right skin tone I can see how it would seem too much. That’s because the color IS too much! It’s an in your face, look at me when I enter the room, I’m loud and proud, and no light or comment will affect my mood. I’ve now worn this color twice this summer, couldn’t wait to wear it again.
Accent nail is KBShimmer - It’s Hip to be Square.
I mean… the polish is already drink inspired, Sanguine Citrus Punch.
Really digging using polishes with warm red shimmers during the summer.
ILNP - Rosalie
BKL - Praise the Shaggy Dog
A huge thank you to u/notaninterestingcat and u/Refresh-faced for helping me with my bingo roadblock. We’ve had these swim towels for over 20 years and are starting to show their wear, but the colors are still pretty. Smooshed them all, fun but messy.
Help! I have all my bingo squares planned out, but now I’m stumped as to which my next mani will be in…2 hours. Please let me know which box to tic off. I’ve highlighted in yellow which I’m ready to do.
Working from home I heard my dog bark and run to the back door. Lo and behold the sweetest chocolate lab was looking in. I quickly put my Zeke (black lab with red collar) into his crate and let him in. Poor guy was lost and happy to come right in. Gave him a treat and snapped a pic of his collar. I’m grateful that his owner answered right away, thankfully they are new to the area and about 4 houses down from us.
Got me thinking that Zeke doesn’t have an “all day” collar. I just make sure that his collars and harnesses for walks have the data. But what if it escapes, wouldn’t hear from him until they checked the microchip.
This lost dog had the softest leather collar, but I know my Zeke, it would need to be weatherproof. Which one do I get? Looking for a soft, comfortable, weatherproof collar I can put on him 24/7.
Didn’t realize how much of a green moon I’m in today, until I sat down for tea break. Fresh homegrown mint tea moment.
The polish color is very accurate. The flakies give the impression of sun rays streaming through. Paired it with Polished For Days - Velvet Bow as an accent.
Last year I made a post looking for a polish similar to the DND gel glittery in the pic with the yellow tumbler. Nothing I saw seemed to match, until Cracked came out with Cafe Countertop. It’s pretty spot on, and now I’ll be very distracted while driving. Unfortunately I don’t think the pictures capture how shiny and sparkly it is.
Nailtiques 2 and Cracked ridge filler
3x Cracked Cafe Countertop plus 1x glitter grabber
Accent is MC Fake Halo
SH Insta dry
It’s so sparkly that I’m unable to capture how much it sparkles. Driving will be difficult for the next 3-4 days.
Opted for the audiobook since I kept hearing how great Ray Porter narrated the book, and since I'm constantly walking my dog I thought it was the best choice. Ray was fantastic, but darned if he didn't have me tear up in the middle of the street when Grace came back to save Rocky. The emotion that he added to Rocky's voice was perfection. Just writing this makes me remember and tear up again... I'm such a sap...
