INNOVV K5 on 2025/ 26 BMW S1000RR – anything I should know before installation?
I’m looking to install an INNOVV K5 on my 2026 BMW S1000RR and was wondering if there is anything I should be aware of regarding the installation process, wiring, or BMW electronics.
A few questions I have:
Did you wire it directly to the battery or use an ignition-switched source?
How did you integrate it with BMW’s CANBUS system, if at all?
Any issues with battery drain when the bike is parked?
Any warning lights, TFT errors, fault codes, or electrical issues after installation?
Is a relay or fuse tap recommended on the S1000RR?
Where did you mount the front and rear cameras?
How reliable has the K5 been long term?
If you have parking mode enabled, how much impact does it have on battery life?
Anything you wish you’d known before installing it?
I’d especially appreciate feedback from anyone running a K5/K6/K7 on a recent BMW S1000RR, M1000RR, or other modern BMW with CANBUS electronics.
