How to promote nerve healing

36M 8mo post-op L5-S1 microdiscectomy. Had a follow-up with surgeon (Nurse Practitioner and not surgeon) at 6mo who advised me to get MRI with contrast. Have follow-up apt with them in a month to get their interpretation of results (ChatGPT says good news).

Anyway, I still have a lot of lingering nerve symptoms. Tingling in foot that increases with activity or prolonged sitting. Can get this to go away while at home, but 50 min drive to work ramps it up, even with stopping mid-way. Hamstring on effected side still wants to cramp and lock up when I bend my leg behind me, also still get a lot of muscle spasms in random muscles in my left leg.

My question is this; Is there anything I can and should be doing to help promote healing of the nerve? I have been seeing a McGill certified PT who has advised me to take a break from rehab workouts due to them increasing symptoms in foot, and I have also been seeing a massage therapist once/week for the last several months. Am I missing anything here? Are there any supplements that will help (already taking fish oil, creatine, multivitamin, and 120mg magnesium glycinate). Is there a nerve specialist I can see that can help me here?

My back doesn’t physically hurt anymore and what is limiting my daily life is the nerve symptoms…

New to Pour Over - Coffee Suggestions?

Recently bought a Saki Luna Pro kettle and V60 ceramic dripper, trying to go plastic free and get away from K cups. What is a good everyday coffee and also a good weekend, thoroughly enjoy and savor the coffee?

Thoughts on This Vintage Seamaster

Recently purchased as a retirement gift for my father. Manufactured in his birth year.

Alright so my father will likely be retiring soon and I want to get him a watch for his retirement. He has worked his ass off his entire life and done so much for my family that I want to get him a special watch when he retires.

He’s been getting into watches the last few years and actually just bought himself his first Rolex a week ago. I had the idea of getting him a birth year (1959) vintage Omega watch as it would be more affordable and also really cool. I know he would really like the idea of the birth year watch. That being said I have seen this watch for sale, but it seems to be priced higher than comparable watches of this era and model. That being said, it has a really unique dial and I really love it. Would $5800 be too much for this watch?
