Begging for a recommendation

Ok, so to give a little background. I was using the same cloth mousepad for like 10 years (some glorious o mousepad they don’t even sell anymore) until the past few months. Just never thought twice about it, didn’t bother me, too busy in life etc etc.

Not to sound cocky but I’ve always had really good aim. Never been an issue. I just wanted to experiment and push myself since I’m retired now and finally have ample time to game. Gave me something exciting to work towards and it really has been fun.

I’ve heard all the hype over glass pads and finally decided to dip my feet in the water. Did a lot of research and decided on the glsswrks polarity pad. It seemed to be a good “balanced” mixture of the typical glass speed but with more “control”. I’ve been using it for months and found two things. My tracking has improved significantly but my clicking has gotten worse.

I wanted to try glass because I wanted the ability of that easier smoother glide for tracking. Versus my cloth pad that just felt like I was dragging a car without enough torque to get off the line quickly. Obviously an exaggeration but you get the drift lol. I sure got that smooth glide I was looking for but man it just feels too fast. Like I just can’t control my mouse the way I should be. Specifically in clicking scenarios.

At the start it was brutal getting used to it. I thought I was never going to be able to main it. Using it now compared to the beginning it’s actually pretty crazy how much I’ve improved/changed. I like what it’s done for me but I think I need to try something different. It doesn’t feel “perfect”. I’m sure the feel of perfect isn’t truly plausible and is probably a constantly changing factor. But I can’t just try one new pad and call it a day right!?

I need something that will still have that smooth glide that’s improved my tracking. Yet has more control I guess? For my swiping to click targets. Right now it feels like it’s just TOO slippery. That I’m just fighting my mouse wanting to float around. I am using obsidian air skates for reference.

The pulsar pd170 peeked my interest. As it seems to possibly be what I’m looking for (glass smooth/cloth control mixture). But with the way things look. I don’t know if I’ll be able to get one THIS YEAR!?

Throw your suggestions or advice at me. I’m open to anything.

TLDR:
- Currently using glsswrks polarity pad.
- Need new mousepad suggestion.
- Want to keep smooth glide of glass pad.
- Need more control like cloth.

Ghost mower?

I’m having a really weird issue as of a couple weeks ago. I’m not sure if there was a firmware update around that time which caused this or what.

I have my x430 on a schedule to mow my backyard every couple of days. Which, that part has been working fine for months. However, I’ll randomly find the mower timed out/off sitting somewhere in the yard and there’s not a single notification in the app. It’s also showing the x430 as still docked in the app instead of where it actually is (across the yard).

So the app thinks it’s still docked charging but disconnected. Yet somehow the x430 is actually out mowing on schedule. Then will randomly turn itself off during that mowing session. I have to restart the mower manually to get it going again.

I have tried restarting the docking station, restarting the mower, replugging the antenna. I am on local rtk and have been for months. I don’t know what else to do.

Including picture of the app showing it docked. When it’s actually at the edge of the yard where I marked the purple arrow and circle.

Advice - DFW, TX

Complete noob. What should I be doing/trying here to make this look more lively? I’m consistently mowing my Bermuda 3-4 times a week at 1.5”. So it’s not like I’m letting it grow too long and cutting too much off at once. Watering twice a week using the Hunter Hydrawise system which adjusts to weather. Should I up watering to 3 days?

Even if I wasn’t watering enough. We’ve been getting a ton of rain.

Inactive Power Draining?

If you look at the mower top left you’ll notice the strobing LED lights. Is there an option to turn this off? It’s not visible to the naked eye. But I notice that it just drains the battery fairly quickly sitting there. I have the battery set to 85% and 15% to try and extend the battery life.

Obviously I know it’s going to drain battery while being turned on. But it seems to drain way quicker than I’d think it would. It drops from 85 to 80 then recharges repeatedly. Almost like the same speed draining as if it were actively mowing. I’m wondering if this has something to do with it or if there’s something else to toggle on/off to help?

I’m not sure how much money that would realistically be eating up but it seems troublesome. Maybe I’m just overthinking it.

Anyone know of where to find a good insurance broker for home and auto for veterans? I have one already but not liking the way he’s operating this year as he’s not an independent broker. I’m in the DFW area in TX. Doing some google research brought up some questionable results. Looking for some solid answers to look into.

Kind of random but does anyone know of somewhere that ACTUALLY gives a military discount on auto parts? Everything I’ve looked at is a joke. I’m trying to find a roll up hard cover/hard cover in general for my truck bed (2026 tundra).

I’ve tried looking on the myexchange partners as well and they don’t even sell tundra parts. At least not for the newer years that I could see.
