Applied the feedback from my last post to a brand new project ! Street elevation with active mobility & material callouts. What do you think ?

Hey everyone !

After all the great feedback on my previous drawing, especially about adding more diverse scale figures and proper technical details. I decided to apply those principles to a brand new urban elevation.

What I focused on for this new drawing :

  • Technical details (Left) → Integrated material specs (zinc roofing, V-pattern ceramic tiles, banne awnings) and clean line weights to make it look like a proper submission sheet.
  • Active mobility (Right) → Replaced standard static entourage with modern urban life (cargo bikes, strollers, seniors, pedestrians) to better ground the building in its context.

I’d love your feedback on a couple of things :

  • Does the balance between the technical callouts on the left and the main facade read clearly, or is it too busy ?
  • How does the scale and density of the entourage feel relative to the building ?

Always looking to refine my drawing workflow, so any critiques are welcome !

I took your feedback and reworked the elevation ! Do you think the entourage, technical improvements, and annotations make the elevation feel more convincing now ?

How much does entourage actually change an urban elevation ?

I've been experimenting with entourage in architectural elevations and wanted to see how much difference it actually makes.

Same elevation, same architecture, the only real change is the addition of people and different forms of urban mobility.

The difference is quite striking to me, especially in terms of scale and how the street starts to feel inhabited rather than simply drawn.

I'm curious how other architects and urban designers approach this: do you usually add a lot of entourage to your elevations, or do you prefer keeping them relatively clean ?

Hand-drawn urban mobility entourage library with wheelchairs, cargo bikes, walkers, scooters...

Second personal library after my coffee shop scene (thanks for the feedback on that one!). All hand-drawn in AutoCAD, front/side/back views for site plans and sections.

Bringing life to architectural sections – Made some custom Photoshop entourage & CAD blocks for a recent coffee shop project [OC]

I got tired of generic CAD blocks looking lifeless, so I drew my own custom set for section drawings. (Free DWG & PNG included)

Felt like my section drawings were looking pretty dead, so I spent the weekend drawing custom café figures. Here’s a Before / After comparison !
