Scored a 78 with absolutely no prep or study, here's my takeaways

Like the title says, I took my TEAS test today (at sort of the last moment before I have to apply for my ADN program) and got a 78. Prior to this the only "prep" I've done was take the free practice offered by ATI (got an 80 on it) and watched exactly half of one of Tyler Dewitt's practice science videos.

I'm nearly 40 and am a SAHM to 4 kids ranging from 16 months up to 14 years old so I didn't have a ton of free time to study, especially since I spent my weekends this summer completing a CNA course, because I need to be on the state's CNA registry before the program begins.

All of this is to say, some people are great test takers, some people are crappy test takers. Could I have improved my English and Science scores if I had spent more time cramming information for the past month? Maybe, but I'm happy with my score and it's probably competitive enough for the program I hope to attend.

Don't be discouraged by people posting super high scores. They might naturally be better at deductive reasoning, might have more time/energy/money to dedicate to studying, or might have cheated. (yes we all know it is possible, but the consequences aren't worth it to me) Do your personal best and if the first attempt doesn't go as well as you need it to, find something that works for you to achieve the score you need for your program.

Good luck to all of you preparing to take or re-take the TEAS test! I hope that you achieve everything you are working towards.

Serious Deja Vue

Update: I looked back to see when the first few books came out and think I figured out that a friend loaned the first 3 books to me during covid. Which explains why I don't have them, but also why books 1-3 are so damn familiar. 😅

I put off watching the TV show forever. It was too popular at first and my PDA kicked in and I was like I'm not watching this just because it's popular. Then I heard the fandom was super toxic, so I stayed away for that reason. Finally I was bored last Friday and nothing sounded good to watch, and I was in like a 2 week reading slump. So I started episode one and settled in to see what all the fuss was about.

Fast forward a week and I've watched season 1 at least 3 full times with a few scenes on mega repeat. So I bought book 1 on Kindle and demolished it in about a day. I bought book 2 immediately. It took a little longer (maybe 36-48 hours) , because I was trying to savor it a bit better, but I kept getting this niggling feeling I've read these books before. I chalked it up to having watched the show and started on book 3 today, only to feel like I've heard this story somewhere else.

I combed my kindle history to make sure I haven't somehow bought duplicates, and checked my bookshelves frantically, but alas, there is not a single one of these books to be found anywhere in my collection.

My question is this, has my brain just filled in plot holes from the to TV show, and tricked me into thinking I've read these before, an I going crazy, or did I maybe read a fanfiction (in a different fandom) that stole or heavily borrowed from the books?

Honestly, who knows, but whatever the case this series is crack, I am fully addicted, and although I feel a bit crazy I am so excited to see where this goes!

(Room for Two by LaughterLoveandLarry)

Someone was asking for domestic Drarry, and this got recommended on that thread, but I wanted to share in case anyone missed the memo. It's phenomenal! Draco is a single dad, raising Scorpius and doing an intensive healer apprenticeship, when his ex-wife hires Harry as a nanny to take care of Scorpius while Draco works. It's 200k words and it's so well written, and lovely.

I haven't had a period since I got pregnant in the summer of 2024. Yes, through pregnancy, and now an entire year of nursing around the clock, I was granted a reprieve, but time (and fucking periods) stops for no one.

One bottle is just filled with water, and the other has a packet of LMNT.

Not pictured because I wasn't sure it was allowed: 4 ibuprofen, 3 magnesium glycinate, 1 CBD capsule.

Truly a sorry ass girl dinner. 😂
