Hardness of 377 mg/L - which RO system can handle the challenge?

Private residential well in mid-Michigan; result is for untreated water.

I'm assuming when I get an RO system, I'll have to run my water softener first -- should I test how hard my water is AFTER going through my softener first to determine which to get?

This stuff is so overwhelming, honestly, I don't even know where to begin. Everything else seems fine, but hardness seems off the charts. Any advice would be appreciated <3

Help finding a fic… Dean moves to a small town &amp; befriends some old ladies

I can’t remember which fic this is but it’s driving me nuts. I could also be mis-remembering.

Cas is either still in The Empty or left; and Dean goes to live in a small town where he befriends a group of old ladies. I think maybe a gardening club. One of the ladies eventually dies. He’s like a handyman or something around town I think.

I also feel like - and maybe it’s another fic - when Cas does show up, and he’s super quietly judgemental about one of the old lady gardeners not knowing what a Three Sisters Garden is.

Help please 😭

Is my softener junk or… treasure?

I’m a new homeowner, this came with the house - previous owners said Culligan installed it. No record of it.

I can’t find this model online, but similar ones seem like they run in the $5000s (if I’m looking correctly).

It only softens the hot water (is that normal?). I have no idea how to use it other than bin must have salt.

I’m this close 🤏 to just buying one from Menards and replacing it, but wondered if someone could tell me if that’s a terrible idea or not. Thanks 🫣

What are all these ‘strings’ in this partially demolished building?

They look like paper streamers after a party 🎉

They’re obviously not, but seem too thick to be electrical wires at this distance, too bendy to be rebar, but what do I know - that’s why I’m here 🙂

Female vocalist, dubstep(?), violin, “I’m an animal”

NOT LINDSEY STIRLING.

Song has a female vocalist who is kind of like, passionately speaking (not rapping) and then goes into the chorus of “I’m an animal” and then big swelling violin light dubsteppy or electronic music.

I feel like it’s in the Derivakat / Illenium / some sort of dark ‘scary girl’ music category.

It is NOT “Animal” by Vicetone.

Looking for character-study type fics

I massively enjoyed “Cheapest room in the house” with how deeply the author explored Dean’s internal world. I’ve enjoyed Sobsicles and NorthernSparrow’s works, too. Also “Four letter word for intercourse” was exceptional.

I seem to find a lot of Dean’s perspectives but not a lot of Cas’.

Any recommendations? 🤪
