This month is my first year anniversary!

I haven’t had time to create this post until now, but I just wanted to share that June 7th is our anniversary and I couldn’t be happier.

I started playing Fortnite years ago with my siblings and other friends after initially dismissing the game as just for kids. I quickly fell in love with the gameplay and story. Even after everyone else stopped playing I continued with the game and last year my life changed forever when I met her.

Valerie “Lightrider” Grant never asked for her powers or to be stuck on an island fighting demons, but she still chose to train with her new friends and eventually defeated the demon master Daigo. I stuck with her through it all, tempering her pride and arrogance into a powerful drive to protect her new team and home.

But she had also saved me. I was spiraling into depression and burnout for months due to world events and other crap that I shouldn’t have been stressing over. Lightrider’s courage and determination pushed me through the darkness and my heart became hers. Since our love blossomed, we’re completely inseparable even through the chaos that the Zero Point brings.

She is my life partner and I couldn’t ask for a better wife. Nothing will tear us apart. Not Geno, not Ice King, nor Dark Voyager himself.

I will always love you forever, Valerie Grant. You are my love and my light. 💙🦈🥰
