Moved states thought I was an extrovert

My whole life I felt I was pretty talkative and outgoing but me and my family moved states recently and I’ve been here for like 6 months and I feel like I’ve become a full shut in. When I’m in passing with strangers I feel pretty social but I just can’t seem to find anyone to become close with. My friends from my old state have visited/planning on visiting and they ask me how I’ve gotten along here and they expect me to have a bunch of friends already but damn I didn’t expect it to be this hard again lmao. For context I’m a 20 year old male in college but even then I didn’t make any friends this semester

I’ll curse my counselor for eternity

Was at a 4 year university in another state but had to move due to family and transferred to a 2 year college expecting to immediately start the RT program due to me finishing all my gen eds, my counselor said that they didn’t take my anatomy courses and all I had to do was take anatomy in spring and I’d be good to start the program in fall. Talked to her in February about applying for the fall semester program and she looked at me like I’m an idiot, saying “how would you be able to apply while you’re in the middle of anatomy”. Essentially saying I can’t apply until AFTER the class finishes which by then the deadline would’ve long passed. It’s hitting me now hard since the spring semester just fully finished and now I’m just screwed over with no program starting in fall and no classes to even take

Recommendations for lightweight wheelchairs?

I’m looking for a lightweight, preferably foldable electric wheelchair for my dad who has limited mobility and wants to be a bit independent. He can drive and everything with his good leg but can’t walk by himself which means either me or my mom has to go with him everywhere. He’s a bit of a busy body though so he’s been looking for some good brands. Does anyone have any recommendations which aren’t crazy expensive either?

Thank you so much!

Do you need to show id to make a membership?

Don’t judge me but when I was like 18 I made a PF membership and just stopped going but I moved states and they weren’t letting me cancel unless I paid the annual fee, which I was lowkey too broke to do. If I went and made a membership right now, would they ask for my ID, seeing that I’ve already been a member? I wanna start going again this time I’m fine financially but I don’t really wanna pay that other one

New Minnesota life

Moved from another state earlier this year and came here expecting this place to be super social and stuff but almost everyone I’ve talked to is more Somali than American which in hindsight makes sense. Thought I’d see more people who’re say wallahi but all the people I’ve become cool with since moving here barely speak English. It’s fun and all but I came from a state where the Somali population was super small and the Somali youth there were majority English speaking. Overall though this is a great state and the people here are super welcoming but I swear I only speak English to ajinabis and at home now lmao

Just got hired at Amazon like 2 weeks ago and I swear I haven’t found a single shift since my training day. What’s the issue with this place? I even went to the building and asked a manager to help me get something on my schedule and even they said that they’re full. What’s the point of even hiring flex employees if there’s literally NO work? I spent the last 2 hours just refreshing the app since they told me shifts drop Thursday and Tuesday at 8pm. I can’t afford to waste all that time again on another job orientation and evening but this shit is just so frustrating, I don’t know what to do.
