Utang

I need help!!

I’m really confused right now and honestly need advice.

What does it usually mean when you’ve already gone through 4 sets of interviews up to the Department Head level, you’re already for Job Offer, then suddenly there’s another interview again?

For context, I tried negotiating the salary because when I compared my previous compensation and benefits package to the current offer of 50k, sobrang laki talaga ng difference. I was actually close to accepting it already because let’s be real — ang hirap maghanap ng work ngayon.

What made me even more confused was when HR told me that the Department Head supposedly wants me for a managerial position, but upper management wants to observe my performance first before officially promoting me after probation and evaluation.

Honestly, I’ve been in the industry and corporate setup long enough to somehow understand how these discussions usually go. Kaya medyo hirap akong paniwalaan or i-take at face value yung “possible promotion after probation” na sinasabi nila.

Another thing is, according to my previous Department Head, this company already conducted a background check and asked about my work performance and leadership style. Positive naman daw yung feedback na binigay niya about me. So medyo nakakapagtaka lang bakit parang may hesitation pa rin after all the interviews.

Ayun na nga, I already passed all interview stages and was supposedly for JO already. Then suddenly there was another interview with the HR Manager. During that discussion, nadagdagan pa lalo yung responsibilities and scope ng role compared sa original discussion during the hiring process.

That’s when I told them directly that with my experience and the additional responsibilities they expect from me, I would like to request higher compensation.

The HR Manager said they would get back to me within the day. But until now, wala pa ring update. Ang confusing lang because before that conversation, I was already told that the initial 50k offer had already been approved and signed. Pero I am asking for higher than 50k.

Is this normal in the hiring process? Or possible red flag na ba ito?

Honestly, I’m starting to think if I should continue looking for other opportunities while waiting.

Magkano na ba usually ang salary ng back-office Supervisor ngayon, especially sa real estate or kahit in general?
I recently got an offer for a supervisory role at 50k basic, pero feeling ko medyo mababa siya compared sa total compensation ko before.

For context lang

Current offer:
50k basic

10 VL / 10 SL

HMO day 1

Possible promotion to managerial role after probation

Previous company:
37k basic

15 VL / 15 SL (yung unused SL convertible to cash)

Commission up to 15k

May phone plan

Guaranteed up to 14th month

Profit sharing (parang 15th month)

So kahit mas mataas yung basic ngayon, parang overall mas lamang pa rin yung previous ko when you consider everything.

Ako lang ba or parang lowball yung offer? 😅

I had my final interview with the VP last week and I’m currently waiting for the job offer. I’ve been unemployed for a year, and I’m unsure if it was the right decision not to bring this up during the interview. I have a pre-planned 8-day trip (including weekends) that was booked before I applied for the role. It’s to celebrate my dad’s birthday after he was hospitalized earlier this year, and it’s very important to my family.

Should I disclose this before or after signing the job offer? I’m concerned that my future superior, especially the VP, might think I intentionally chose not to mention it earlier.

Please I need an advice. Thank you!
