Im a dual citizen of US/Spain mostly living in the US. I accidentally let my Spanish passport expire (thankfully, I still have my US one). My aunt in Spain is helping me through this process, but she was recently told (after we submitted paperwork, like my official birth certificate, about two months ago), that it could take up to 6-7 MONTHS for everything to process so I could then make an appt at my Spanish embassy here in the US. Does that sound right??
