TR3 nodule - what do I do?

I’m 26, F. I found a lump in my throat incidentally in July and went in for an ultrasound. Ultrasound revealed a 1.7 CM nodule on the left lobe and a much smaller 4 mm one on the right.

They gave it a TR3 and asked me to come back in 2 months. I went back and the doctor has been very unhelpful in trying to figure out what to do next.

I have really bad health anxiety and heard that nodules are uncommon in 20s so I’m very afraid. I’m unable to eat or sleep and have been struggling a lot since this finding.

I also don’t want to unnecessarily do an FNA and freak myself out but the doctors are not telling me what my options are. I don’t know where to go from here. I have a follow up ultrasound in 4 months but I’m afraid it’s cancer and that it’s gonna spread by then :(

The only suspicious findings are that it’s solid. There were also a few lymph nodes that had swollen but the ultrasound says they are likely reactive so I don’t even know anymore.

Cat refuses to go to the vet

My cat is 4 years old and we’ve been getting him his yearly check ups regularly. But this year, he has become very anxious when it comes to going to the vet.

His last experience, a few months ago, was so traumatic that I’m scared he’s still agitated by it. He had broken his carrier and hopped out. When it became impossible to take him, we ordered a home visit. The handler did not know what to do with him and began chasing him around the house which resulted in him climbing the window and trying to escape. He also got hurt in the process and did not climb down the window for long. We had to make the handler leave the house and calm him down for days before he got better. He still runs away when the door bell rings.

It’s been 9 months since his last visit and another visit is due soon. He probably will also need his first teeth cleaning because I see some plaque in his back teeth. He’s also gotten a little chonky (which is why he was able to break a whole dog carrier this time)

I am very afraid to try to put him in the carrier and agitate him or stress him out. I want this to be as easy on him as possible.

I’m looking for advice from people who have cats that also refuse to go to the vet and how to get him used to sitting in his carrier or being outside. I feel very helpless:(

tl:dr: how do I get my anxious cat used to going to the vet/getting in his carrier

Feeling I’m gonna die young

I have been stressed all my life. I can’t remember a time when I wasn’t stressed. I’ve been severely abused and neglected since childhood and left that place only at 21.

I’m gonna turn 26 and my body is still constantly in fight or flight. I have nightmares almost daily. My nervous system is a wreck, my body registers everything as a threat. I smoke pot all day to numb the pain. Added to this I also have severe OCD and have recovered from an ED.

Also add the substance abuse and 0 nutrition and chain smoking that I did since 21 till now after I moved out and was suddenly still enough to understand the enormity of everything I went through in that place.

Even though it has gotten a lot better, I’m very scared that all this stress is gonna put me in the grave so young and it is making me so sad. I’m finally getting my shit together, I’m finally getting mentally and physically stronger - eating better and resting and taking care of myself. I’ve just started seeing what a safe home looks like after meeting my current partner and moving in with them. I want a long happy life with them but it probably won’t happen because of all that I have been through, all that my body has been through. I feel so defeated and sad about this.

Need advice, words of support:(

What does cat breath smell like?

I keep seeing cat breath is not supposed to smell. I have two cats and both of them have a mild fishy odor to their breath even though there is not fish in their food. My ex-flatmates cats used to live with us, and their breath smelled this way too. It’s been this way forever and the vets didn’t say anything in their last visit (which was some time ago, they get very anxious with vet visits).

It’s not really an unpleasant smell. It doesn’t smell foul or rotten. It’s just…a smell that’s there. I always assumed their breath is not supposed to smell very fresh ;-;

Cat ate a cooked chicken bone

I think my 4 year old, 11 pound male cat ate a chicken bone.

My flatmate had accidentally left over chicken and I suspect my cat has eaten some of it. My flatmate says there were 2 pieces but they aren’t sure. I only found one. I immediately took it away from him but I’m not sure if he’s eaten more or how big it was.

It’s been about 3 hours since and I have fed him some wet food. He’s sleeping and not showing any signs of distress.

It’s also 3 am and there aren’t any emergency vets available. He’s also a very scared cat and taking him to the vet is a nightmare, the last time we tried to take him for a check up he tried to tear throw the window netting and run away.

I don’t know what to do, is he going to be okay? Any advice will be appreciated
