Kento Yamazaki in Another (2012) 😭🖤

I finally watched Kento in Another and I’m genuinely losing my mind over him 😭. The atmosphere of this movie is already so eerie and unsettling, but then Kento shows up and somehow makes it impossible for me to focus on anything else. His expressions, his eyes, the way he carries himself as Kouichi… I was watching every little reaction like 👁️👄👁️.

He has this really understated screen presence that I love. Even when he isn’t doing anything dramatic, you can’t help but look at him. And the fact that this is one of his earlier roles?? He was already so charismatic on screen. 😭

Also, can we talk about how GOOD he looks here?? The hair, the school uniform, the whole early-2010s aesthetic… I’m weak. 😭🫠

I went in expecting a horror/mystery movie and somehow came out with a full-blown Kento appreciation post. The movie had me questioning what was going on, while I was busy thinking, “Okay but Kento looks so pretty here.” 😭💀

He really has that kind of face where the camwra just loves him

Looking for Hirugao (2017)

Guys, I’ve been trying to find a platform where I can watch the 2017 Japanese film Hirugao for the past few weeks, but I’ve had absolutely no luck. 😭

I can find the 2014 drama pretty easily, but the 2017 movie starring Aya Ueto and Takumi Saito seems to have disappeared from every streaming service I check.

If anyone knows where I can watch it, with English subtitles, please let me know! I’d really appreciate it.

I’m specifically looking for the 2017 movie, not the 2014 drama.

Kento Yamazaki as Soichiro in The Door into Summer 😭✨

Kento in The Door into Summer is such a different experience because Soichiro is not just another pretty-boy role, he’s a brilliant robotics engineer whose entire life revolves around his inventions, his work, and the people he trusts. And Kento really sells that intensity. 😭

The movie starts in 1995, where Soichiro is working on robotics and a plasma storage battery. He has a relatively peaceful life with his cat Pete and Riko, the daughter of his late mentor. But everything falls apart when the people he trusts betray him. He ends up being placed into cryogenic sleep and wakes up in 2025, thirty years later, having lost almost everything he knew. From there, he becomes determined to uncover what happened and find a way to change the past.

And Kento has to carry SO much of the emotional weight of that story. We see Soichiro go from this confident, passionate scientist to someone completely devastated after waking up in a future he doesn't recognize. I really love the contrast in his performance. He isn’t suddenly a completely different person, the same stubbornness and determination are still there, but they’re mixed with grief, confusion, anger and this desperate need to fix what was taken from him.

His acting in the quieter scenes especially got me. 😭 He can communicate so much just through his expression, and you can actually feel Soichiro processing everything that has happened to him. He has this almost restless energy when Soichiro is focused on his inventions, but when the character is confronted with his losses, Kento lets that energy completely change.

And the sci-fi aspect gives him so much to play with too. He’s essentially a man who has been ripped out of his own time and dropped into a future that has moved on without him. Kento makes that displacement feel personal rather than just treating it like a cool time-travel gimmick.

I also love that Soichiro's motivation isn't simply revenge. Underneath all that anger is someone desperately trying to reclaim the future he thought he had and protect the people he loves. That emotional core makes Kento's performance much more interesting to me.

He gets to play determination, betrayal, grief, tenderness, anger and hope all within the same character, and I genuinely enjoyed watching him move through all those different emotions.

Basically, The Door into Summer gave Kento a scientist, a time-travel plot, emotional trauma, romance AND a cat, and somehow he made all of it look ridiculously good. 😭💙

How Did I Become the Villain in My Own Story?

Guys, this will be long. So please read only if you have time!

And I'm sorry if the contents make you feel uncomfortable. I just wanted to give a TW beforehand.

Actually this happened when I was 15, there was this girl at my class. Ava peru G nu vachikkalam. Apo na vandhu 11th std la irunden. I handled a lot of degrading rumours in 10th std, so I was so scared to even go to school sometimes.

G was my classmate. Friend nu kuda solla mudiyathu. But we liked the same guy, avana V nu vachikkalam. V vandhu oru popular person.

So, she was fighting for his undivided attention but he wasn't interested in either of us. V vandhu good looking, so he just liked being wanted.

So, one day 11th la vandhu Enakku Instagram follow request vandhuchu. It was her. But it was her fake id and had the pfp of some k-pop idol.

She told me who she was. Aprm she said that she'll be my pretend boyfriend. I denied as it was so wrong. Then, she started sexting me. She said that she was straight and will be roleplaying as V. I denied constantly, but she continued to go on and only stopped because her mom called her.

The next day, during lunch , she called me to the corridor to talk about last night. I was scared and embarrassed. She told me that "we" should stop doing that stuff and she is strictly straight. I just nodded and sprinter away. I mean I was hella scared.

Aprm ellam somewhat normal ah aachu. But during a lab session. We were all playing with stethoscope hearing eachother's heartbeat. She just.. I don't want to mention that in detail. She just pressed on my chest. I was clearly uncomfortable but she said "romba over ah pannadha". I was so worried, but I was 15 back then, so I didn't know if it was harrassment or not. She continued doing that for a few minutes.

Aprm andha same year , in our school they asked us to come to school in colour dress other than uniform for Children's day. My dress was somewhat tight in the chest region. My other friend A already commented crudely at it that all the boys heard, that I was too voluptuous.

This G kept on looking at me the entire day. It was heavily uncomfortable that even some boys were staring too that the teacher yelled at them. I felt like I was the problem and that I should have dressed properly.(It was a chudithar with shawl)

Even in the summer break, she resumed sexting me (only when her mother wasn't home). In 12th, she took seat beside me. And kept on asking me if she was beautiful or did I miss her when she was absent. It was creepy. But she told me that she never felt beautiful and boys never liked her.

I thought maybe she's struggling and tried my best to be kind. But she fought over stupid stuff. We stopped talking as she commented that I deserve my father's hate and when I questioned why, she just said don't talk to me ever again. It was September 5, 2024. I was 16.

So, then she stopped touching the stuff I touched, and not even using the washroom stall if i came out. She tossed papers in dustbin because i touched it.

One day I was feeling nauseous, my other friends teased me about being pregnant in a harmless way. G said "V dhan adukku Karanam nu sonna na naan enna pannuven nu enakke theriyadhu!"

Her behaviour became more and more frantic with days. I was crying myself to sleep every night.

Few days later, My father requested the class teacher to change the seats upon seeing my suffering.

But she didn't take any action for a few days, so i requested the class teacher to change her seat. I needed the second row because I was short at that time. Since I was her second most favourite student (first being her nephew) she agreed. G started crying after the seat change. The teacher questioned me instead as I didn't give a proper anti bullying report.

She refused to come back to the second row. I tried to move on. But i felt sorry for her, that I constantly tried to apologise to her for the rest of the school life.

After school, i realised that she found my instagram beforehand and blocked as I'll try to reach out.

Did i do something wrong? Should I try to apologise to her? I don't know. She'll never forgive me.

Kento Yamazaki on Stage in "Legend of the Eight Samurai" (2014)

I've been reading about Kento Yamazaki's 2014 stage play Satomi Hakkenden (Legend of the Eight Samurai), and now I'm completely fascinated by it.

The story itself sounds like an epic fantasy. It follows eight warriors bound together by fate, each carrying a sacred bead that represents a virtue. Their destinies become intertwined as they battle curses, revenge, and supernatural forces threatening the Satomi clan. It's the kind of grand, dramatic story filled with sword fights, loyalty, friendship, tragedy, and destiny that feels perfect for a stage production.

What makes it even more special to me is that Kento played Inuzuka Shino, one of the central heroes, and this was his first major stage role. Imagine being only 20 years old and carrying a production based on one of Japan's most famous historical fantasy stories.

Stage acting is completely different from film and television, there are no retakes, no camera angles to help you, and every emotion has to reach the audience in real time.

Looking at the photos, he looks like he stepped straight out of a fantasy novel. The costume, the sword, the long hair, the intense expressions (he was born to play these larger-than-life characters. You can already see the determination and charisma that would later make him such a successful actor).

I love discovering these older projects because they show how much work he put in long before many international fans knew his name. Satomi Hakkenden feels like one of those important milestones in his career, and now I wish there were more recordings and behind-the-scenes content from this era.

Kento Yamazaki as Nayuta Azumi in Atom's Last Shot deserves WAY more love 😭🎮

Can we PLEASE talk about Kento Yamazaki in Atom's Last Shot (Atom no Ko) because this role deserves so much more appreciation???

Nayuta Azumi is not your typical genius protagonist. He’s a legendary indie game developer hiding behind the name John Doe, but underneath all that talent is someone who is deeply hurt, isolated, and carrying the weight of the past. After losing his friend Koya and walking away from game development, Nayuta feels like someone who stopped living and is just existing.

And Kento plays that so beautifully. The quietness. The stubbornness. The way Nayuta pushes people away because he’s afraid of getting hurt again. The tiny moments where you see the passion for games still burning underneath all that anger and guilt… I WAS NOT READY. 😭

Also, can we appreciate how good Kento is at playing characters who look cold but are actually full of emotions? He doesn’t need dramatic speeches , one look and you can feel the entire backstory.

The dynamic between Nayuta, Hayato, and their lost dream of creating games together again was honestly one of the most emotional parts. It’s not just a story about video games; it’s about friendship, betrayal, grief, and finding a reason to create again.

Everyone talks about Kento’s visuals (and yes, the man is unfairly beautiful 😭), but Atom's Last Shot really shows his range. Give this man more complicated, emotionally damaged characters because apparently that is where he shines.

Anyway, I will be thinking about Nayuta Azumi staring at a screen with that sad genius face forever. 🎮😭

Kento Yamazaki as Nagata in Theatre: A Love Story has me emotionally destroyed 😭

I need to talk about Kento Yamazaki in Theatre: A Love Story because WHY did this man decide to casually break my heart like that???

Like yes, obviously Kento is unfairly beautiful (looking at him should honestly be illegal 😭), but Nagata was such a reminder that he’s not just “the pretty guy from manga adaptations.” This man ACTED.

Nagata is such a disaster of a human being and somehow Kento made me feel every single layer of him. The arrogance, the insecurity, the loneliness, the desperation to be understood… I was frustrated with him, I wanted to yell at him, and then two seconds later I wanted to wrap him in a blanket because Kento’s sad eyes are a weapon of mass destruction.

The way he barely changes his expression but you can still feel the emotions underneath??? The quiet suffering??? The tiny looks of regret??? Sir, please stop, I am trying to survive here.

Also can we talk about how perfect he was for this role? Nagata feels like someone who is drowning in his own dreams, and Kento captured that fragile, broken, stubborn energy so well. It’s such a different vibe from his cooler roles, and honestly I need more of this Kento.

Everyone talks about his visuals (and yes, he is ridiculously pretty, I’m not blind 😭), but Theatre: A Love Story is proof that he can absolutely carry emotionally heavy roles.

Anyway, I will be thinking about Nagata’s sad little face for the next 47 business days. Thank you for coming to my TED Talk.

Revisiting Kento Yamazaki as Chusuke in Crazy Samurai Musashi

Kento Yamazaki as Chusuke in Crazy Samurai Musashi??? ✨

Can we talk about how unfair it is that this man can just appear in a historical samurai setting and completely own the screen???

The look. The expressions. The intensity. The fight scenes. The way he carries himself… Kento has this ability to make you stare at him even when he’s not saying much.

Chusuke had such a different vibe from his other roles, and Kento brought that character to life in a way that made me want to see more of him.

Honestly, Kento Yamazaki + samurai era styling is a dangerous combination. 😭💙

Every time I think I’ve seen all sides of Kento’s acting, he shows up in another role and proves me wrong.

The Kento Yamazaki Effect: Wotakoi Edition ✨💕

Kento Yamazaki in Wotakoi??? EXCUSE ME??? 😭💀💕

Who gave him permission to look THAT good while doing absolutely nothing???

Like sir??? You are literally just standing there with glasses, a blank expression, and your gamer energy, and somehow my brain has decided this is the peak of romance. 😭

Hirotaka really said: "I will communicate using 5 words, play video games, and stare into the distance" and Kento Yamazaki said "watch me make everyone fall in love anyway."

THE GLASSES. THE QUIET VOICE. THE AWKWARD LITTLE SMILES. THE ENTIRE "I DON'T KNOW HOW TO EXPRESS FEELINGS BUT I CARE DEEPLY" VIBE.

I came for Wotakoi and left with a severe case of Kento Yamazaki appreciation disorder. 🎮💙

Someone please take my phone away before I rewatch every Hirotaka scene for the 100th time. 😭

Why Good Doctor Will Always Have a Place in My Heart (Minato Shindo Still Makes Me Cry)

Good Doctor is one of the most heartbreaking yet hopeful series I have ever watched.

It beautifully portrays many of the struggles faced by autistic people while also highlighting their intelligence, potential, and humanity. More than anything, it reminds us that every person deserves understanding and compassion.

Kento Yamazaki's performance moved me to tears from the very first episode. Watching Minato suffer alongside his young patients and seeing how he carried the memory of his late brother in his heart was absolutely devastating. Every time he saw a child in pain, you could feel his grief, empathy, and determination. Those moments broke my heart again and again.

What impressed me most was how natural and sincere Kento's portrayal felt. He brought so much warmth, vulnerability, and authenticity to the role without reducing the character to stereotypes. His performance made me laugh, cry, and see the world from a different perspective.

The story itself is a masterpiece, deeply emotional, inspiring, and unforgettable. Although it is based on the Korean drama, it stands strongly on its own and tells the story in a way that feels unique and deeply moving. Good Doctor didn't just entertain me; it changed the way I look at people and the challenges they face every day.

DMK Wasn't a Utopia. Neither Is TVK.

I've been thinking about this a lot lately.

I used to support the DMK. I'm NOT a TVK supporter. But over the past few days, I've been questioning my own views. I know a lot of people are unhappy with the current TVK government, and that's completely fair and our issues need to be addressed. But that doesn't mean the previous DMK government was some kind of UTOPIA either.

Something that's been bothering me is the behavior of some DMK supporters online, especially some Gen Z supporters. Not all of them, obviously. But instead of accepting that the party made mistakes, some jump straight to personal attacks whenever someone criticizes the DMK. (And no, I'm not talking about Vijay's alleged extramarital affair. That's a different issue.)

Another thing I notice is that many arguments always go back to the achievements of the 1960s. Those achievements absolutely deserve respect. Arignar Anna and many others changed Tamil Nadu in important ways. But how long can a party keep asking people to vote based on what happened sixty years ago? Every government has to prove itself to the current generation too.

I also can't help feeling that the DMK slowly drifted into dynasty politics. Stalin becoming the leader makes sense to me. He spent decades in politics, was jailed during MISA, and built his own political career. But when I look at Udhayanidhi, I honestly wonder what his biggest qualification is apart from being Stalin's son. The same question applies to Inbanidhi if leadership continues through the family. Sometimes I wonder whether Anna (Former Chief minister C.N. Annadurai) himself would've wanted the party to become like this. Maybe another capable leader could have risen through merit.

I'm not saying the DMK was a bad government. It did a lot of good. But it also made mistakes, and I don't think acknowledging those mistakes should be controversial.

The sanitation workers protested for over 160 days after losing their jobs. The illicit liquor tragedy took many innocent lives. The promise to abolish NEET was never fulfilled. There were caste-based violence incidents and law-and-order issues too. I'm not blaming the DMK for everything, because no government controls every event. But I do think they should acknowledge where they fell short before acting as if everything was perfect.

DMK rule was not a utopia.

One more thing confused me after the election. Many DMK supporters called Congress joining TVK a betrayal. Fair enough, that's their opinion. But CPI, CPI(M), IUML, and VCK reportedly informed the DMK before making their alliance decisions. Even then, I saw some supporters calling those leaders greedy, power-hungry, or saying they sold themselves for money. That's not political criticism. That's just attacking people.

Support whichever party you believe in. Criticize governments when they fail. Protest if necessary. That's what democracy is for. But we shouldn't become so loyal to a party that we stop admitting its mistakes or start harassing people who disagree.

No government is a utopia. No party is beyond criticism.

Orange (2015): A Live Action Done Right

I'd already watched the anime before the live-action movie. I absolutely loved it, and the second-to-last episode had me in tears. It really left a lasting impact on me.

Going into the film, I had high expectations, but I think the live action adapted the story surprisingly well into this movie without losing what made it so special. Kento Yamazaki was perfect as Kakeru. His acting never felt overdramatic; instead, he portrayed Kakeru's depression with a quiet realism that made the character even more heartbreaking. I also thought his on-screen chemistry with Tao Tsuchiya was stronger in this one, which made the romance feel even more emotional. In the end, it was a beautifully heartbreaking love story.

Hot take: Otaro Dojima is Kento Yamazaki's greatest role

Kento Yamazaki absolutely carried Kiss That Kills.

I went into Kiss That Kills expecting a romance with a weird supernatural gimmick. Instead, I ended up watching what I think is Kento Yamazaki's best performance.

Otaro is honestly hard to like at first. He's selfish, manipulative, obsessed with money and status, and you almost want to see him fail. But every time the timeline resets, you see him crack a little more. Watching him slowly change because he's forced to face the consequences of his own actions was incredibly satisfying.

Kento nailed every version of Otaro. One moment he's arrogant and calculating, the next he's completely terrified or emotionally broken. None of it felt forced. By the end, it was hard to believe this was the same person from episode one.

People love bringing up his live-action manga roles or Alice in Borderland, but Kiss That Kills is the performance that convinced me he has serious range. If someone says Kento Yamazaki only plays pretty-boy leads, I immediately assume they haven't seen Otaro Dojima.

Kento Yamazaki as Sugimoto is the biggest "trust the process" casting I've seen

Kento Yamazaki as Immortal Sugimoto is one of the most unexpected yet successful "trust the process" casts I've come across.

When he was first announced for the part, a lot of fans (including myself) didn't think he looked tough enough, battle-worn enough, and rugged enough for an old, rough Russo-Japanese War veteran (he was just too handsome, and I don't mean in a bad way). And this applied to even some Japanese fans.

But the film was released.

While he doesn't really look like manga Sugimoto as much as some other actors would, Kento's portrayal of him convinced a large number of people. His line delivery, intensity, and chemistry with Asirpa did wonders to the character, even winning over some critics. In fact, most critics who don't like this casting do acknowledge that he got better as the story went on.

This is one of those rare cases when the casting looks wrong on paper, yet works much better in execution.

Sometimes the most handsome man in Japan somehow manages to convince you that he lived through the Russo-Japanese War. Strange animals we humans are.

Kento Yamazaki as L Lawliet, in Death note (2015)

Honestly, I've loved Death Note ever since I was a kid. But when I watched the 2015 live-action series, I was completely smitten with L, portrayed by Kento Yamazaki.

I know this version is a little different from the original story, but I genuinely enjoyed both. L has always been my favorite character, and I really liked Kento's take on him.

I'd love to hear your thoughts on his portrayal of L.

I may have a proof of the Riemann Hypothesis. How should I proceed?

I'm an 18-year-old independent learner working on a manuscript that I believe may prove the Riemann Hypothesis. I'm not affiliated with a university, and to be honest, I have no idea what the next step would be if someone in my position believes they have obtained a significant result.

Over the past several months, I've devoted a great deal of time to developing and checking the argument. It appears convincing to me, but I also understand the significance of such a claim. I'm not asking anyone to accept it as correct or to judge it without reading the mathematics. I'm simply looking for advice from people with more experience.

The proof constructs a family of operators using Mellin transforms and weighted integral kernels. I establish that a key operator is trace class and derive a trace formula relating its spectrum to arithmetic data. I then construct a self-adjoint operator whose spectral values correspond to the imaginary parts of the nontrivial zeros of the Riemann zeta function. The argument aims to connect this spectral framework with Li's criterion, ultimately concluding that all nontrivial zeros lie on the critical line.

At this point, I'm unsure how to proceed. Should I continue refining the manuscript on my own, try contacting experts, upload a preprint somewhere, or take some other route entirely? I'd appreciate honest advice on whether this approach sounds mathematically plausible, what experts would likely scrutinize first, and what the most appropriate next steps would be for an independent researcher.
