After the Fluid Film Treatment
I just got a an annual fluid film undercoat, and I’m a fan because if the effectiveness against rust where road salt is used a lot. However, there are two things one might not be entirely prepared for after the treatment.
The undercoating is a very effective lubricant for the brakes. I was surprised by how hard it was to stop initially, but driving around and using the brakes burned it off relatively soon.
I also noticed that the body exterior was misted with the agent. A car wash will likely take care of that, but be prepared to clean the windows - the windshield was very greasy, and needed window cleaner (not just the windshield washer) to remove it.
These are minor issues, but something to be aware of when you get fluid film.
