I took hundreds of photos on that day and this one has been making me think a lot. Who is this guy? I really wanna know. I wanna give him his own physical copy of this photo.
To keep this short, I made a post a little while back about my theory that the "tongue" was actually just a lip from the underlying layer of the image. In a later post, I mentioned that I wanted to try getting in contact with Mariko, or anyone who might be connected to her, to see if they could provide any clarification.
After speaking with someone related or close with her, it's clear that she wants nothing to do with the search. If you happened to come across her by chance, please respect her privacy and leave her alone. She doesn't deserve to be harassed over something like this.
Out of respect for her wishes, I won't be sharing any additional details or the photos that were provided to me.
(For anyone wondering, the photos are NOT original JTK material, I can promise that.)
While I do think the lead I followed was fairly solid, at the end of the day this is a real person who is, more than likely, tired of being contacted about this. I think it's best that we let her move on with her life.
I also want to apologize for being away for a while after making my original post. I stepped back from posting because I was dealing with harassment from a mix of people on both the Discord server and the Reddit community. Some people even went as far as threatening to leak my personal information if I continued looking into this, claiming that I was "a burden" to the search.
Despite all of that, I accomplished what I set out to do and got the information I needed. Thank you to everyone who supported me along the way, and I hope we can all remember to treat the people connected to this search with respect.
Hey guys, I joined the sub to ask you guys for some assistance on something. I work with audio engineering and design work, once in a while when I work with a client they gift me tapes and CDs from their personal collections. I love MF DOOM and his style ever since I was a young pup, I acquired about 5 years back in 2021 maybe early 2022 a cassette with early draft mixes of the track Doomsday. Now the tape in question is in 'okay' quality and is worth the listen, but these tracks on the tape are essentially early mix tests and even a somewhat isolated acapella section of the track with DOOM and Pebbles mixed together.
I do however wanna share a snippet from the tape at some point. Would any of you be interested in hearing it?

I want everyone in this server to know that I am really really persistent on looking for stuff. I was speaking with someone on discord about starting a small ad campaign in Japan and advertise via social media. Someone is bound to recognize Mariko and maybe say something to her. I will be privately funding the campaign with my own earnings, so no donations are necessary.
In reality, we cannot force her to comply or get involved with this if she refuses to. So I ask all of you to be as respectful as possible if anything does come to light on this attempt in the short coming future.
