More specifically, I hate the way Jurassic Park has ruined any variation in dinosaur films. It's either AAA THING WITH TEETH SCREAMING AT ME RUN!! Or a children's film
I want dinosaur horror that's more than just munch. Especially disappointed with this newer trailer of the end of oak street. Cuz the ARG Oakstreet, which I'm pretty sure this movie is supposed to be based on, is a great dino horror story.
There's this build up of actual animal behavior in the og, the raptors watching the humans warily, learning their behavior, staying mostly hidden. Especially considering in reality a predator is not going to look at an animal it doesn't know and immediately think "Snacc!!". More like these raptors were watching with the original intent of "what is that thing and is it dangerous??"
And really only started eating humans after a small toddler was left out alone- might I add this family was feeding them so there's your "humans equal food" mentality that does happen irl (don't feed the alligators anyone??)
It's the real feeling of being watched, and hunted.
Instead, it looks like another Jurassic Park movie of brainless violent monsters, not real animals. At least in Jurassic Park they had the excuse of being lab freaks fed by humans.
I just want more than chase and scream.
