One Step Closer

One Step Closer

Correct me if I’m wrong but volume 18 should cover pretty much the last few sub chapters of chapter 111 no??? Doesn’t that mean he’s done, or will there still be one more volume left? Cause he said he’ll continue the series once he’s done with the physical volumes.

What do you think the COSMOS update will focus on?

I’m wondering if this is an update on the scale of NEXT, which could include biome diversity and multiplayer overhaul. I’m trying to think of it from the perspective of bringing Light no Fire tech over to No Man’s Sky. What do you guys think the focus will be? Will we get a reset?

All New Info So Far

So to summarise the “new info” from these articles:

PC gamer’s article basically talks about how HG wants to support LNF for a long period of time, just like NMS, by basically following a similar post launch model. They also mention that multi crew ships were an LNF original idea that was brought over into NMS.

Kotaku’s article basically talks about what happened after the TGA reveal. The steam wish lists hitting #2 basically made them step back from marketing, they were originally planning on showing more gameplay but decided not to because of the hype. Also Sean loves playing it and says it’s super ambitious.

Euro gamer’s article basically just says it’s in progress and that LNF tech is being fed back into NMS, which we’ve already known.

The Game’s Radar article talks about how LNF currently has an average of 15 devs working on it, however that’s an equal split of around 30 devs working across both NMS and LNF.

These are the “main” articles and pretty much all the info so far. Every other article I’ve found is a remix of the same info lmao.

So it comes down to the following points essentially:
- Team of around 15-20 are working diligently on LNF
- They were planning to show more six months after TGA but decided to just work on it instead
- It’s a massive project, don’t know when it’s coming out, and the usual about how LNF tech is being moved to NMS

Since we’re nearing the 10th anniversary of NMS, and I haven’t done a summoning post in quite some time, let me make another and add some context to keep this related to Light no Fire.

There is a growing belief that on the 10th anniversary of No Man’s Sky, we may get a speck of news about Light no Fire, even if once again indirectly through a No Man’s Sky announcement. Some people in the community even believe that they might shadow drop it lmao. But my belief, and the purpose for this summoning post, is to get Sean to make a tweet on Sunday, to once and for all have him confirm if Light no Fire, is indeed, a video game.
