Need your advice please 🙏🏻

Hello everyone,

Looking for recommendations for my next car. I commute around 260 km daily between Dubai and Abu Dhabi, so fuel efficiency, comfort, tech and highway ADAS are important.

Currently driving a BYD Song Plus DM-i. I charge it every day at the office, but with my highway-heavy driving I still get a maximum of around 750 km between refuels, so I’m looking for something more suitable for this mileage.

Budget: AED 150–180k
Sedan or SUV
New or low-mileage used
Fuel efficient with excellent highway range
Tech-rich
Adaptive cruise + good lane centering
Comfortable and reliable for high mileage
GCC preferred

Open to petrol, hybrid, PHEV.

Recommendations for PHEV SUV

Hello,

I commute from Dubai to Abu Dhabi every weekday, and I’m thinking about replacing my BYD Song Plus AWD.
My biggest issues are:

  1. Battery range is lower than I expected.
  2. Fuel economy isn’t great for my usage.
  3. The spare tire takes up a significant portion of the trunk.

My commute is almost entirely highway. 260 km daily, almost 120km/h with cruise control.

I charge the car to 100% every day at the office, but I still end up refueling every 2–2.5 days (excluding weekends). My maximum range between fuel stops is around 750 km, even with daily charging.

I’m considering either the Deepal S07 or the Geely EX5 EM-i (170 km variant).

For those who have driven these cars on long highway commutes, would either be a noticeable improvement in real-world efficiency and range, or is there another PHEV SUV you’d recommend?
