Writing for fun

I know the aim for most of us is to get published. Hell I have a bunch of people reading my finished novel right now to see if it’s worth it.

But I have to say after having written nothing for years getting back into it has been rewarding in its own way. That sense of achievement of actually finishing something was great. It also kick started my imagination again and I’ve started something new.

But my biggest realisation is that I never really stopped creating. I had a daughter and spent years making up stories for her at bedtime every night. So it wasn’t that I didn’t use the muscle it was just used purely for fun.

So from now on I just write for fun. I’d like to be published but it doesn’t matter if I never do get there.

Anyone else feel similarly?

First Novel finished what’s next

Hi all. I set myself a goal of finishing my novel by my 50th birthday. I achieved that and I kinda think it may be worth publishing.

So far two people have read it and liked it . 6 more are reading it but I’m still waiting on the feedback.

My question is this how do I look into publishing. Cavet I’m dyslexic so I’ve done all the editing I can myself but it will need someone to look at that.

I’ve seen two schools of thought one says I need to get an agent another says try publishing houses first .

Also is there a way I can get more feedback as it’s friends and family reading it at the moment and although they are being honest it would be nice to get an outside view.

Thanks for reading this I know it’s a bit

Well that was a funny way to say thank you.

Just encountered this guy on the way to the greybeards. He was being attacked by a saber cat so I killed it , and because I’m nice I healed him. Which resulted in him attacking me relentlessly until Lydia killed him.

Can’t help everyone I guess

A little swap around

I’ve always hated the sword that came with my re issue he-man (it’s so flimsy) so I’ve moved things around. He now has Faker’s sword ( I’ll probably spray it) Thunder Punch He-Man gets the shield to go with a vintage sword I sourced for him. Faker gets the sword that came with Skeletor as I think it suits him better.

My cartoon collection Trap Jaw got He-Man’s axe as I felt he needed a weapon .

Anyone else switch round accessories like this ?

Pretty sure he’s a knock off but he’s one of the figures I never had as a kid .

He joins the growing ranks of deceptions and the rest of my crew
