Has anyone used period swimwear for their teens?

My stepdaughters (13, 11) are going to the lake for 10 days. I'm concerned that they might start their period during that time and won't want to get in the water. Has anyone used period swimwear and how did it work for them? They only use pads at this point and I'm not sure how the technology works. Any tips would be helpful. Do they wear a pad with the swimsuit? How well do they work? Etc?

Not fun waking up and the city (and, therefore, your hotel) that you're overnighting in has no water. And, of course, scheduling tells you just do your best.

Here's to a mildly dingy 11 hour day.

Any idea what these dry patches on my fingers are?

I have about five spots on my hands where these super dry patches show up. Even after a shower they don't noticeably soften. They heal up eventually, but are discolored, still dry, and show up again without any noticeable cause. I have Triamcinolone Acetonide cream from my primary doctor, but it hasn't made a difference.

I will probably ask for a dermatologist referral later this year, but I'm focusing on a couple different health issues first.

All right, friends. Who else has been awarded a seat, got kinda comfy, and then been pulled off for some reason or another?

Whether it's weight and balance, the passenger showing up last minute, or duplicate seats...it can't be just me. Whomp. Whomp. Good news is I'm pretty high on the list for the next flight.

Seen this several times in the last few days. People are writing "rather" when it should be "whether."

I keep seeing this more and more. An example I saw recently-- Someone wrote "I don't care rather I'm in the front or the back." 🤬🤬 That's just not correct!! It's whether, not rather! Idk where this confusion started. I need people to stop.

I'm not sure if they think that's how you spell whether or what is going on, but it is driving me crazy. It doesn't work when you say it out loud. I hope this doesn't become a thing like "irregardless" where enough people are messing it up that they change it. Ugh. Ugh. Ugh.

(My grammar is by no means perfect, but man, I can not stand this. It has to stop.)

I stopped and got gas today instead of pretending that I would definitely wake up early and get some before I go to work at 5am!

Now if I'm late tomorrow it won't be bc of that! Happy Saturday.

Sometimes passengers really make our day. This wonderful woman handed me a four ziplock baggies during boarding.

She made one for both flight attendants and both pilots. It had a Liquid IV, an Emergen-C, a little note, and she 3D printed a chapstick holder that I can clip onto my purse or lunchbag!! No more rummaging!

She probably thinks none of us have ever received a gift a day in our lives. The CA thanked her during his welcome announcement. The FO thanked her during the out of sterile and gradual descent announcement. The other FA thanked her and then I was just raving about the chapstick holder, bc I can never find my chapstick in a pinch, so I am chronically dry and crusty.

Anyway, it was such a nice, unexpected gesture. And hopefully I can stay more moisturized.
