Cheap doggy door open mechanism?

I have an existing doggy door. I leave it closed most of the day because my dog like to bark nonstop outside if left open. I want to create some sort of DYI lever that I can open and close while at work. Any DYI ideas? I'm thinking some sort of hydraulic lift or something cheap and simple along those lines that can be remote controlled, open on certain times, etc.

Can I use an Alaska Companion Fare on an AA-operated flight booked through Alaska's site?

I am trying to book a direct flight from DFW to HNL. The flight is operated by American Airlines, but I am booking it directly through the Alaska Airlines website.

Does anyone know if the $99 Alaska companion fare can be applied in this specific scenario?

Chime Prime card 5/24 question

Does anyone know if the Chime card adds to your 5/24? Or it’s simply a continuation of your debit funds? It looks like if you deposit over $3k into your chime account, you get access to Chime prime which includes priority pass access, but you need to get the Visa card. Curious if that will add to your credit reporting.

I applied for the Citi AAdvantage Business card as a sole proprietorship but received a pop up saying they need "more information" to process my account.

For those who have applied as a sole prop, what documents or info did they ask you for? I want to be prepared before I call their reconsideration line.

Quick check on CSR benefits for 2026: If I book a 2-night stay at a hotel that is both an Omni/IHG and part of The Edit, do I get:

  • $250 (The Edit credit)
  • $250 (Select Hotel credit)
  • $300 (Annual Travel credit)

Total of $800 in statement credits? Does the booking have to be prepaid for all of these to trigger? Thanks!
