I’ve come to the realisation that 3 of my favourite books all have a reincarnation trope, they also have the niche that the reincarnation happens almost immediately upon the death of the original ‘person’ - in the same timeline and universe a and they have to wait basically a quarter of a life time to get back to the other MC.

In 2 of them it’s told overtime with the dead MCs being reincarnated with all their memories from infancy so they have to navigate a new life knowing what’s out there for them and they’re kind of obsessed over it.

Those are -

In the 3rd/4th (it’s a duet) the FMC is reincarnated 3 times and she doesn’t initially know it. While the first and second happen generations apart the MMC is a vampire so it still happens in his lifetime. But in the third time round it’s only 21 years after her last death, she finally remembers all her past lives but it turns out spoiler >!he couldn’t deal with having lost her 3 times and going on with the memories so he had them wiped!<

Funnily enough I also loved the Fallen books by Lauren Kate when I was younger and it shares the ‘he’s immortal and she comes back multiple times in the same timeline not knowing who he is’

Just finished {Stray Omega by Mary Magdalyn} and I’ve got the same itch that I had after reading tormented omega. I know it’s not everyone cup of tea but I am a big fan of a wounded bird FMC and the way those books are written just make me a puddle of emotions every time. I think the second book was actually quite ass so I don’t expect much from the 4th to come after stray.

I loved {Crown Me Dead by Liv Zander} and {Still beating by Jennifer Hartman}, they gave me the same heart wrenching feeling and a constant stream of tears and I looooooved it.

I love the idea of books that embrace the inevitable loss dynamic that comes with having an immortal/mortal pairing. I’d love for it to be a romantic pairing, unfortunately I can’t request this in the romance books due to their rules, one MC has to die for it to be what I’m after.

I’m not looking for some major adventure where they’re able to make an MC immortal or make the other mortal. I want to cry lol

Can anyone recommend indigenous owned/founded businesses that hire IEC workers? Or places that are supported by or partnered with their local traditional custodians?

I’m going to Europe from aug-late October and was contemplating doing a year in Canada after that. I’m an indigenous Australian, from the Bundjalung nation, and my culture is very important to me. I’ve always been highly interested and enamoured by other First Nations communities and Canada just seems like such a beautiful place. I would love to spend my time in Canada engaging meaningfully and respectfully, without stepping on toes or invading spaces not for me. So any tips are greatly appreciated.

I have heaps of experience in retail & hospitality (Bar, Cafe, Management, Online sales) a degree in design, history in farm work, a love for people, the outdoors and new work experiences. I really don’t mind where the jobs are, I plan to travel around during my time there and want to see as much as I can.

I love me a romance that makes me cry. Love can end in so many ways, as life can, and I love seeing that expressed in romance books. I do not mind if an MC dies at the end after a life beautifully lived or if they fall in love knowing they’re on a time limit or if they both die at the end but they’re happy and together. Somewhere in between a tragedy like Romeo and Juliet and a Happily Ever After.
