Student account services

I got royally fucked over by SAS due to multiple clerical errors they have made and until they fix it I will go without health insurance, no money for rent and no money to pay my credit card bill. My student loans were supposed to disburse about 5 days ago, but instead it is going towards tuition that I do not owe.

In the process of bitching about this with other GMU students I have heard accounts of multiple students becoming homeless as a result of similar "clerical errors" made by the student account services staff. I have heard people talk about how they have sent bills that have already been paid to collections, damaging credit reports. Disabled people losing health care because SAS is run by toddlers? I guess my question is, how do these fucking people still have jobs?

Title: Ilya Rozanov Meets the Tax Angel Author: critter_25 Rating: E

Just posted this one this afternoon. It is equal parts silly, sad, romantic and horny.

Ilya Rozanov Meets the Tax Angel

Ilya Rozanov is in his first year of his entry level contract with the Boston Bears. He needs to sit down with a tax expert to sort out his taxes for the year, and its far more complicated than he thought it would be. He's just glad that the agency's tax expert is also the most beautiful man he has ever seen.

Advice for recently(ish) disabled

In the last year or so I became disabled in a fairly major way. I am having a hard time doing anything that requires standing of any length of time (showering, cooking, cleaning, shopping, laundry). Any of these activities essentially leaves me bedridden for days. If I had more money I would pay someone for help with these things but I don't and I also don't have family or friends that will help. I have been putting off pretty urgent medical needs and will likely need to keep doing so because of cost.

I have spoken with government agencies, non-profits and my work and none of them have any resources that can help. Apparently, despite the fact I make less than 1/2 of the minimum COL in my area (northern virginia), I don't qualify for any assistance of any kind. I have been told I probably need to get on SSDI, but we all know what a joke that process is and I don't think I will last long enough to get on it.

Anyone have any resources, hacks or advice?

Like a Power Play

As a lesbian who is kind of a bitch who had to give up competitive ice hockey because of a disability and has given up on dating due to that disability… that hit entirely too close to home. I cried at the end because of the epilogue because of how much I wanted it to be real.

As far as actual comments on the writing- the hockey itself was well written in a way most hockey stuff just isn’t, the description of disability was pretty spot on from my personal experience, and the romance was the right mix of romance archetypes. Highly recommend.

I bought 2 tickets to take a friend to the Jiffy Lube Live date of the current tour. Problem is that between purchasing the tickets and now I have become reliant on a wheelchair to get around and the seats I got are not accessible. I was wondering if anyone wanted a pair of tickets for that date. They are section 301 row L seats 40 and 41. I would prefer to make back what I paid for them (disability life ain't cheap) but I would take best offer. They are direct transfer via ticketmaster and I can give proof that the tickets are legit.
