issue with changing record

(FYI The record used is of no Monterey value) The tonearm of the turntable goes in to fast for the record to go on to the platter so the record bumps into the tonearm. anything the can be done. thanks :)

Does anyone know where I can find this toggle wheel

specifically this plastic thing, unfortunately while cleaning my changer I have lost mine and need a replacement. I live in the uk so bar part are hard to come by and I don't want to by a spare one, if any one is willing to sell or point to where I can find one, thanks for the help!!!
