I just want to shout out my neighbor who makes dog collars and leashes here in Harlem. She is incredibly talented and her items are top quality. She makes everything custom and you can choose the fabric and design of your items. I absolutely love my set that she made for my dog. I can’t get over how well they are made. I broke my fifth metatarsal on my right foot in March. These are the original X-rays. They just put a cam boot on it and said it should grow together. I’m almost 5 months into my injury and not completely healed. I got a second opinion, and they want to do surgery. I just want my foot to heal correctly. I don’t wanna do surgery though if it’s not necessary. I don’t have a copy of my recent X-ray yet. I guess I want to know if the general consensus is that surgery should have been done initially, or that they did the right thing initially? I am a 40 year-old woman with a very active job.

I was looking for a new tattoo artist, and happened to find one through this Group. I just wanted to take a second to shout her out because she did an incredible job, and was an absolutely delightful person. Right now she is at Vacation Forever tattoo in Manhattan, and she goes by gr3y wash. Pics are from right after getting the tattoo and after it has healed. I do not remember her Reddit handle unfortunately, so I’m hoping she sees this post. She absolutely nailed the design I asked for, and every idea she had for the tattoo was exactly what I had in my mind. I could not be happier!
Anyone selling Kuhli loaches in NYC? Preferably in Manhattan. I only know of one LFS that has them sometimes, but they’ve been out recently.
I want to get my nails done soon, but I’m also trying to grow my natural nails. I’m looking for nail salons in Harlem/Washington heights or nearish there, that do builder gel or something like that. I would love any nail salon recommendations in this area really.
Woody was at the shelter for almost a year with little interest. I know I’m partial, but I think he’s so beautiful. I can’t believe no one wanted him, but I’m so glad because I got him. He’s such a good boy, so sweet, and a total goofball.
