That’s all! I just finished The Perfect Divorce by Jeneva Rose, I won’t spoil it for those who haven’t read it, but man oh man, I can’t stand her.

Looking for a TV series from before 2021. Main character is a brunette woman in her 20s who is involuntarily held in a psychiatric hospital (or similar facility) in the woods. She keeps trying to escape and is brought back several times. She desperately wants to call her sister because her mother is dying, but the staff won’t let her use the phone. In the final episode she finally escapes by climbing into the back of a pickup truck. It ends on a cliffhanger and I don’t remember if there was ever a second season. I watched it on Netflix or Hulu in the U.S.
