Hate. Let me tell you how much I've come to hate this rework since start of season 5. Imagine having an high skill technical character, who rewarded you for learning hard execution stuff. combo sauce, 2F links, dash cancel atr, safe jump setups, using steady aim in blockstrings GONE. REDUCED TO ATOMS. And you may think that its a good thing, he's in much more healthier state right?

NUH UH

Not only he's now boring to to play as, he's even less interactive to play AGAINST. If you could say that his previous playstyle was "Curse bangbang dash" now its "Curse atr backdash backdash" which is EVEN MORE FUCKING LAME.
You're literally rewarded for just running away from your opponent untill that shitass reticle(Which now has perfect tracking btw) locks onto you, AND NOW NEUTRAL IS OVER. Does it feels fun to do as a HC player? NO. Does it feels fun to be on receiving end? PROBABLY NOT.

Remember the season 1-3 clone? yeah its now back. So he can stall out the reticle for the next 70 frames which perfectly matches the clone duration. Oh and if HC feels extremely spicy he can just skip the neutral with 50 bar by doing the clone PRC Atr, allowing him to safely lock in onto you, same goes for curse.(Which debuff gives your gun whopping 10 DAMAGE, INCREDIBLE! Resulting in its just being an annoying spammy projectile)

Portals and (not) thinking with them.

Happy Chaos has cool setups with porta- nah who am i'm bullshiting. That would be the case before 2.01 came. Which resulted in multiple portals setups in pressure being found dead in the ditch. Do you know why?
STEADY AIM DOESN'T LOCK ON INSTANTLY IN BLOCK STUN. Along side +5 frames on reticle, killing Steady aim in zonning TOO. Because 90% of the cast got enough time to run up and kill that evil twink before his gun goes pewpew in FUCKASS 41 FRAME.(Unless you playing A.B.A) And you may think

I'm not denying. Its strong when he gets its going. Do you know the issue with it? ITS BORING. Steady aim? useless during block-string. Air mix? you're not doing that unless your opponent is just afk while holding block button. Resulting in HC being 5d/roll/throw merchant.

And do you know how usually he starts his pressure?, either knockdown into pressing amazing and skillful H button, OR: C.S 6K into STALLING WITH CURSE RPS. WOOOW ITS SO FUCKING FUN TO JUST AWKWARDLY STARE AT YOUR OPPONENT FOR FEW SECONDS AFTER IT. HOW INTERACTIVE AND ENGAGING!

On top of that, you don't need to do any fancy setups, or safejumps or moves in neutral.

Combo theory took a big shot. The hardest during the combo now is literally pressing 585 during steady aim. And even then its not mandatory, because doing basic c.s 6k/5k 6k juggle deals pretty hefty the damage by itself, allowing the wallbreak while saving the resources. And as mentioned above, being BORING AS FUCK.

Positive bonus

You may say that he doesn't get corner carry as easily anymore, and i would laugh as the blue fuck hits the 585 with portals, resulting in corner carry/wallbreak just like the old times, but now with slightly more resource management(tm). What was the point of rework again?

HOW DO I ESCAPE THE MOST OBNOXIOUS SHITASS PRESSURE IN THE WORLD THAT KEEPS LOOPING INTO ITSELF? MOST BAIKEN PLAYERS DOWNPLAY HER AND DON'T PLAY MORE THAN 2 GAMES, SO I CAN'T EVEN LEARN THE FUCKING MU BC OF IT. PLEASE EXPLAIN IN SIMPLE WORDS, BC READING DUSTLOOP IS FUCKING PAIN.

I'll be honest. I never liked fighting this character AT ALL. it felt(and still feels) like he forces the entire match to revolve himself and his stupid ass blood gauge. Footsies? neutral? zonning? bro what's that? we have a projectile destroyer 3000 scrappin his ass across the floor towards you at mach 500 to put you into his shitass pressure, where you just have to PRAY that you pass the most random ass knowledge checks that can be knowledged checked by him.

What's that? you survived? maybe pushed him back? well sucks to be you! HIS FUCKASS NORMALS REACH 1/3 OF THE SCREEN AND KILL YOU IN 3 HITS. Still not bad? THEY REFUND HIS BLOOD TOO. ISN'T THAT JUST FUN TO DEAL WITH? AND DON'T YOU BETTER PRAY TO GOD THAT YOU AREN'T PLAYING CHARACTER WITH SHORT NORMALS, BECAUSE YOUR ASS IS NOT TOUCHING THIS "HONEST"(TM) CHARACTER IN T3 UNLESS YOU LEARN TO INSTABLOCK.

who the FUCK at Arcys thought that this troglodyte of a character needs a new move that lets him run his offense FOR FREE, while being +6 ON BLOCK? WITH THE ONLY DOWNSIDE BEING THAT IF YOU SOMEHOW MISSMANAGE YOUR RESOURCES YOU'LL (maybe) POP LATER. WHICH DOESN'T FUCKING MATTER BECAUSE THIS CUNT DOESN'T EVEN HAVE TO MANAGE IT THAT MUCH. JUST NO BRAIN MASH F.S H AND YOU'LL PROBABLY REFUND ENOUGH RESOURCES TO DO IT AGAIN. HIT BITE IF YOU FEEL LIKE TAKING A SMALL RISK TO GET A NICE REWARD OF HALVING YOUR BLOOD.
