How would you describe what feeling feminine feels like?

Most of us have things that we do in order to make ourselves feel feminine. How would you describe the actual feeling when you are most in tune?

Anyone know where to find in person French tutors?

I want to improve my French by having a one on one tutor. I prefer in person. Tri-c barely seems to have a language program anymore and CSU doesn't offer what I want. There are some websites that supposedly link you up to tutors, but most of those seem sketch, or are online. Anyone know of any good local resources to finding a legit French tutor?

What do you love about being a woman?

There are plenty of reasons, whether is patriarchal/cultural, biological, religious, personal, etc, why it sucks to be a woman.

Despite all that, what do you, personally absolutely love about being a woman? For me, one small benefit is having greater freedom of expression. Sometimes it feels limitless. I'm not saying femininity is not policed, it obviously is by women and men. Even so, I love not having to tick the boxes that give a narrow definition to what makes a man. Embracing my femininity makes me feel boundless and free. I think being queer also further removes me from patriarchal undertones as well.

Also boobs. For a multitude of reasons, I really enjoy my breasts but plz don't hug me too hard.

How was pride?

I hope everyone had a nice pride. It seemed even more hype than last year, the support and sense of community. I unfortunately had to put my dog down on the 1st of June and just been in a real depression since. I tend to withdrawal more when Im sad so I haven't felt like celebrating or joining on any of the festives. Aside from a few queer close friends, and my partner, Im not really super deeply ingrained in the community, other than in spirit all the time. My partner was also out of town for a few days during the time of the parade, so I even extra didn't feel like going. And now I am thinking "wow I don't regret missing out this year but I kinda still feel melancholic at the end of it". Like even if there was an event tomorrow, I probably still wouldn't go. I guess just feeling detached right now. Anyways, I hope everyone had an amazing pride and I hope it lifted your spirits in these dark times! 🏳️‍🌈✨🏳️‍🌈

Still struggling to get into BL4

So I have been a huge fan of the Borderlands franchise since its inception. I have done multiple playthroughs of each game in the series (minus Tina just the once). If we had the writing of 2 with the fun gameplay of 3, with some next gen ingenuity, that would be great. Honestly the planetary travel in 3 was pretty lit, no need for a confusing open world with constant enemies and over stimulating stops. I tried playing the game a bit when it came out, fell off for a while. Beat Yotei instead. Tried playing a bit more over the winter, killed idolator sol, and stopped playing again. Just tried jumping back in to start on one of the 2 other sub bosses (idk their names and I can't remember the plot). I just drove around to a new mission location, and immediately got fatigued at the idea of starting it. That feels very wrong for a borderlands game. Im over stimulated but bored and not invested at the same time. Also, not impressed with the siren so far (does she get better?) Sirens are usually my preferred class, Amara was such a baddie. I know I'm far from the only one who has not enjoyed this game, but I have been away from the discourse since it came out. Without big spoilers, what do people here think?

GTA 6 Lucia rabbit hole..

So in light of the preorder becoming available, I went down a bit of a rabbit hole ( kind of by accident) on the GTA 6 protagonists. Like I remember gamergate and complaints about playing women in TLOU2 etc, and just the misogynistic, queer-phobic, racist culture of gamers in general. The kind of people whom would call it "gay" to play as a female lead in a game, but if they had to, she'd better be running around in a thong with big tits bouncing around. Eye candy is all they are good for!

But I also remember how much hype there was for a Sadie Adler DLC in RDR2. Could maybe, people chill tf out about a female lead in a video game for once, especially if she was sharing that space with a male? She seems like such a baddie! Erm no. In the last 2 day's I've been exposed to so much misogynistic behavior. Like people just seeing a woman protagonist and thinking "Hmmm yeah, she's not interesting in any way and feels like woke DEI" to "oh rockstar is just taken over by a bunch of chubby women and hr". And like apparent reports that maybe they won't punch down on say LGBTQ+ people so much, and that's a sign that they've "gone woke" and the game will irreparably suffer for it. And I know Rockstar as a company does have a history of "bro" culture, a holdover from how the 90's and 00's video game industry was male dominated.

I don't recall them having a history of punching down nearly as much as they punch up or to the side though. Like sure, they say the n-word a lot in games, usually from black people talking to other black people. When a non black person uses that word, they always come off as an unlikeable dickhead. And I'm for having bigoted characters in media, instead of having white washed and sanitized attitudes. Just simply because those people have always existed. If you watch a western for instance, you are pretty much always going to see racism towards a hispanic or black character. How those characters are handled is another matter. Yeah they make fun of people but they usually make fun out of touch and privileged people the hardest. The politicians, celebrities, moguls, religious nut jobs, cults, etc, and of course just a hyperbolized satire of IRL. They make fun of other groups as well like "liberals" but its always like oh, man hating feminist trope, or avocado toast type shit, saying liberals want to ban smoking as part of some kind of communist conspiracy or something.

Take Always Sunny for instance, when they do make fun of the trans woman, it's always at the expense of Mac, or someone else to make them look like an asshole. It's shining a light on their bigotry and going "see, look how big of a dick this person is". And that was in the 00's! There are just so many ways to make fun of minorities that aren't cruel punching down "jokes" meant to appease some bros. Just unfortunate that after all this time there is still such a strong subculture of men that don't get types of humor, it has to be "edgy for the sake of being edgy", women only belong as strippers or prostitutes in the world of GTA. When I don't think it was ever about that.

If people can find examples of me being wrong, please share them
