Drew this to motivate myself to clean more regularly

Drawn with paint markers.

I'm a pretty messy person, and usually only clean up when I know someone is coming over. But it's not been healthy to live that way, so I drew this and put it up on the wall, with the hope that it'll motivate myself to clean up each day.

I might put a chore list under it, too.

123 Cryptid Street (no AI)

Been watching a lot of Sesame Street with my niece, so I drew this. I want to make this into a sticker or a maybe even a t-shirt. I'm a bit iffy on the color choices, though. They're supposed to lean towards natural, but are they too drab?

Pick up a crayon

Family took me to a funky restaurant for my birthday, that just so happened to have paper tablecloths and crayons. So I doodled one of those lovable Martians from Sesame Street. Apologies for the crumbs.

(Restaurant is *Last Dance*, for anyone in the Atlanta area)

Doodled this old meme, because I thought it fit these guys

Yeah, I know Rocky weighs hundreds of pounds and would probably crush Grace if he clambored all over him like that, but maybe this meme is happening in low gravity.

Also, threw in a random doodle from work.

How did the kids react to losing Grace as their teacher?

As someone who works with kids, I often wonder about Grace's students and how they handled his disappearance. He just suddenly stopped being their teacher, it must've been so weird for them

Did anyone tell them why he was gone? Did they think he was going to come back?

I assume for most of the story they wouldn't know anything about Project Hail Mary, because it was highly classified, but did they know that Grace working to help save Earth? Imagine being told that your fun, dorky science teacher was now part of a top secret initiative to save the world. You'd have so many questions!

Which of course, leads to my biggest question: did the kids ever find out that Grace was aboard The Hail Mary? That question actually wrecks me, because how would a kid process that knowledge? Kids lose loved ones all the time, but it's such an unique and extreme circumstance. I imagine the adults would try to gloss over the fact that Grace would die in the end, much like Grace tried to do when he had to come clean to to Rocky about it.

What also makes me so sad is that Grace's students never got to say goodbye to him. I'm not saying he was their favorite teacher, but he seemed so fun and personable around them, he would certainly be missed.

They're never going to look at a bean bag the same way again.

As far as we know, Grace is the first human to kill an alien

I just think it's funny we tend to overlook the fact that Grace is the first ever human to kill an alien lifefrom. Granted, it's probably not something he's all that proud of, but still!

Original characters I submitted for Art Fight 2026

It's my first year doing Art Fight, so I whipped some character sheets

u/FilmFizz — 1 month ago

Thoughts on these two characters?

I've been trying to get back into drawing characters, and these kids have been knocking around in my brain for a while. The character sheets were very rushed because I wanted to submit them in time for Art Fight this year. So, mistakes and inconsistencies are prevalent.

My main hope is that their personalities shine through in these designs.

I'm a bit disappointed in Asahi's design because it's pretty plain. It fits his personality, because he's someone who's more comfortable fading into the background, but is it uninteresting?

Making a mold for some Mothman dolls

Haven't added the walls yet. I'm debating on whether or not it should be a 2 part mold. Face master is made from Super Sculpy
