Stall or maintenance?

I’ve been on Tirz since last November and have lost 35 pounds. I’m 5’4 and hovering around 140-143 pounds. I’ve been on 10 mg for 3 plus months, and I’ve not lost any weight at all for 3 plus months. I currently have pretty decent appetite suppression and I’m not having severe food noise or hunger.

I would like to lose another 10 pounds though. But I’ve always had strong side effects for the first 2 days and I’m nervous that taking 12.5 would have too strong side effects. I know I can titrate up slowly.

Anyone else in a similar situation? Is it possible my body has reached a point where it’s done losing weight? Or will I need to titrate up to lose the last 10 pounds?

My Options

Okay I tried Hallandale and that didn’t agree with me. I then tried Apothecary and it might be causing dizziness. I’m going to experiment with it again and see if I can make it work. I do not tolerate any B vitamins or additives like carnitine. What are the next compounded Tirz options left? Is glycine tolerable? ProRX shutting down really messed me up.

Apothecary- Dizziness?

I’ve been on a little roller coaster since trying new pharmacies after ProRX. I was smooth sailing on ProRX until it got shut down. Then I tried Hallandale and I was one of the few that felt like Hallandale was weak compared to ProRX. On Hallandale I was constantly hungry and actually returned to binging behavior when the thought of binging never crossed my mind on ProRX.

For the last two weeks I’ve been on Apothecary and it seems to have hit me pretty hard. For the last week I’ve been dizzy, weak, and light headed. Just feel icky and out of it. My food intake hasn’t changed and I’m hitting my macros and staying hydrated. Last night I felt like I was going to faint and went to the ER.

In the ER, my blood pressure and blood sugar was normal, electrolytes also normal. I was dizzy and failed the test where they ask you to put your finger on your nose. 🤔 I was given an IV and it didn’t make me feel any better.

Did Apothecary hit anyone harder than other Tirz pharmacies? The doctor DID acknowledge there can be some variation in different compounding pharmacies. Another change I made in the last 2 weeks is inject near my love handles, away from my belly button area. Not sure if that could have caused the dizziness. Also, I’m about 10 pounds away from goal weight, and maybe 10mg might be too strong for me now.

Hypoglycemia Returned

I had severe hypoglycemia before Tirz. I started Tirz 8 months ago, hypoglycemia completely disappeared and I’ve lost 40 pounds and am almost at goal weight.

Now I’m having hypoglycemia again a few nights a week and it seems to be getting more frequent. Around 8 pm I start to get very drowsy/droopy and I feel my blood sugar dropping. I have a protein snack and peanut butter jelly sandwich but it doesn’t help. I then wake up starving at 4am the next day.

I’m eating enough protein, healthy carbs and fat and my eating hasn’t changed since starting Tirz 8 months ago. I’ve been on 10mg for 2 months. I’ve used a CGM in the past but it’s already told me what I already know: my blood sugar drops at night. Considering I’m somewhat at a healthy weight and no longer pre-diabetic, I wonder if Tirz is working too well and I no longer need to be at 10mg but lower?

Tirzepatide Users- Help!

I started Tirz 8 months ago and my hypoglycemia disappeared for the most part. I also lost 40 pounds and am no longer considered overweight although I’m 10 pounds from goal weight. I used to be pre-diabetic for years but now I’m no longer pre-diabetic!

Well now the hypoglycemia has returned. It’s like clockwork: around 8pm I get so incredibly drowsy and droopy I can’t keep my eyes open. I have a bedtime snack of protein, and a P&J crustable which has usually helped but not anymore. I then crash out asleep only to be woken up at 4am shaky and starving. My diet on Tirz hasn’t changed. I eat adequate protein, carbs and healthy fat.

I’ll schedule a doctor appointment and get a CGM, but a CGM has already told me in the past what I already know, that my blood sugar drops at night. I’m not getting Tirz from my doctor because I get additive free compounded Tirz online. My doctor doesn’t seem to have helped with this issue in the past. I can’t get name brand because insurance doesn’t cover it.

Any ideas? I’ve been on 10 mg for 2 months as I’ve tried to titrate slowly. I’m not sure if getting hypoglycemia again means I should INCREASE or DECREASE my dose, especially if I’m more at a healthy weight now.

Max Dose

I’ve been on Tirz since November and have done well for the most part. I’m 10-15 pounds away from goal weight. I’ve tried to stay at the lowest dose possible for maximum effectiveness, but my pattern is that after 6-8 weeks food noise and hunger comes roaring back with a vengeance and I need to titrate up.

I’ve been on 10mg for 8 weeks and my severe food noise/hunger is back. I had hoped I’d be one who could stay at one dose forever.

My question is, what do you do when you reach the max dose? When you reach max dose and you get to goal weight, do you just magically get to a place where the insatiable hunger you get before titrating up STOPS? Somehow I find that hard to believe.

Hallandale- Starving

Man, I’ve been trying to keep using Hallandale after losing ProRX but I’m not sure I can hang! I have PMS hunger and I’m ravenous. I did get a couple hangry PMS episodes since being on ProRX since last November, but not like this!

I have 2 vials of ProRX left and 2 vials of Hallandale. I was going to rotate between the two then move to Apothecary. I don’t like wasting Tirz. But this hunger on Hallandale is crazy.

ProRX to Hallandale

I’m getting ready to do my first Hallandale shot with Gimme after being on ProRx. I loved ProRX! I’ve heard mixed things about Hallandale, specifically that it’s left some people with more hunger. Can anyone share their experience of going from ProRX to Hallandale? I’m at 10mg with more weight to lose.

Cruise and Tirz

Can anyone share personal experience on taking Tirz while on a cruise or vacation?

I’m getting ready to go on a cruise soon and I’m a bit worried about having side effects and it possibly affecting my trip. A couple weeks ago I titrated up to 10 mg, and I have strong side effects on shot day and fatigue the next couple days after. I’ve had strong side effects from the beginning of starting Tirz and I’ve just sucked it up. Splitting doses and other things haven’t made a difference.

Next Monday I’ll be doing my shot while at sea on a ship. Then the next couple days I’ll be at ports doing excursions. What can I do to avoid having side effects like fatigue overshadow my trip? Should I move my shot up to Sunday, as Sunday and Monday will both be sea days and relaxing days? I’m just nervous about having fatigue on port days. Or should I stick to doing my shot on Monday, but do a smaller amount like 7.5? I’m worried that doing a smaller dose might bring back food noise, but at least I’d have access to lots of healthy food if I got hungrier than normal.

Please be supportive and helpful and skip commenting if that’s not possible. I’m just looking to have a nice trip.

7.5 to 10 move?

I have done 7.5 for 4 weeks and today is shot day. I have been trying to stay at the lowest dose for as long as possible before titrating up. While 7.5 provided awesome appetite suppression for me, I noticed after the 4th shot that suppression decreased quite a bit.

In two weeks I’m taking a long vacation. I’m wondering if today on shot day, I should take 10 mg and use the next two weeks to adjust to the increased dose before my trip? I had wanted to stay at 7.5 longer. But I don’t want to have severe hunger while traveling.

Waterpark Zipline

Has anyone done the zipline at CocoCay and is it worth it? My son is 74 pounds and the weight requirement is 75 pounds. I’m cruising in a couple weeks and I’m tempted to book the zipline in the app now to get a discount, or is there a way to pay in person if they let my 74 pound son do the zipline?

Or maybe this is one thing we can pass on. It does look fun though.

I have a weird situation with coffee where I enjoy a cup daily but a strong brew can get me wired. I do need caffeine so I can’t do decaf. I think I need to avoid buffet coffee that’s been sitting in a pot for too long.

Which breakfast restaurants on Allure serves coffee that isn’t strong or bitter? Would the MDR be able to serve a cup of half-calf? I’m doing Allure on a budget and can’t afford to pay extra for coffee or Starbucks.

My boarding time is at 1pm. Is there any chance they let you board early? Should I even try?

Is it possible to head straight to a restaurant after boarding for lunch? Or do I need to do the safety thing and other stuff before eating lunch? I’m wanting to do the Park Cafe but I feel like there will things to do when I board. Maybe eating a big breakfast and grabbing a wrap at the Promenade place would be better.

I’m just trying to plan meals so we don’t get hangry while settling in as a first time cruiser.
