Some time had passed since Julius and (Reverse) Subaru, now living under the name Natsumi, had settled in the quiet village of Banan, Kararagi.

The village itself was peaceful. The residents went about their usual routines. Domesticated animals filled the quiet surroundings with their noises, while the trees rustled gently in the wind and birds chirped overhead.

Within a simple home lived Julius and his two children, Juliet and Joshua. Both had already grown into toddlers. The three of them trained together in swordplay, their favorite hobby. To this day, Julius still could not understand how quickly his children had grown. His primary theory was that Natsumi's Lust Witch Factor had somehow affected their children's genetics but he does not reach a definite conclusion.

Regardless, he could not complain about such a wonderful gift.

After spending a considerable amount of time entertaining his children, Julius tucked them into bed for their afternoon nap. He assigned Aro to watch over them, and the Lesser Great Spirit of Wind obeyed without complaint.

As the former Spirit Knight headed out to purchase ingredients for dinner, he found himself remembering the day he had reunited with Aro.

[Weeks ago, in a busy marketplace.]

Aro: "Ara~ You must be the village's new resident. What was your name again? Oh! I remember. You are Julius-san, correct?~"

Julius: "That is indeed correct. My name is Julius Juukulius Natsuki. I was recently assigned as the village's guard swordsman. Though I must admit, my talent once preceded me. My skills are no longer as refined as they were before. I am merely a father to my children and a husband to my wife."

Aro: "Oh, how sweet of you!~ Where is your beloved, I wonder?"

Julius: "Natsumi is currently working in Lugunica as a Royal Knight. She won't be returning anytime soon, at least not until Saturday."

Aro: "How bold of you to make a woman work for you~ Isn't the normal tradition for a man to seek out a job to provide for his family?~"

Julius: "I do admit that it brings me shame to remain in the village while my beloved works in another nation. But she has assured me that she can take care of herself just fine. I trust her words in that regard."

Aro: "Ara~ My poor Od can't take anymore of this sweetness! I admit that I am quite envious seeing you spend such lovely moments with your children from time to time..."

Julius: "Is something wrong? Perhaps I can listen to your troubles."

Aro: "How knightly of you, Julius-san~"

[Aro explained her current struggles to the new resident as though she had already known him for years. Julius listened carefully, making sure he fully understood her situation.]

Julius: "To summarize, you feel as though your relationship with your sisters has become distant recently, without any apparent reason. Is that correct?"

Aro: "Yes, that's right. I am the eldest among my Lesser Great Spirit sisters, yet I feel as though I have failed them..."

Julius: "Do not degrade yourself into such a miserable state. It is not your fault."

Aro: "Thank you, Julius-san. If only our master could help us reunite once more. But the problem is that we do not remember who we had a contract with..."

Julius: "...Maybe I can help bridge the connections between you and the other Lesser Great Spirits."

Aro: "Ara~ You will? Oh, I thank you a hundred times over, Julius-san! You are a spirit savior!"

[Back to the present.]

The purple-haired swordsman still could not believe that he had managed to build a connection with one of his former spirits, even after the second name wipe.

He was happy that he had done so, and he looked forward to speaking with his other spirits someday. Unfortunately, he could not do so at present, as they were scattered across different parts of Kararagi.

Aro was the only one who remained in Banan.

Julius finished purchasing the ingredients just as the sun began to set.

"This will suffice for tonight's meal. Hopefully, Natsumi will return home safely later tonight. The train service announced that there will be a slight delay this week, taking even more of her precious time before she can arrive home."

As he walked back home, Julius suddenly felt a heavy pressure in his chest.

He stopped.

Then he coughed.

Once.

Twice.

Again.

The coughing grew harsher until blood and flower petals spilled from his mouth.

"Ghk—haa... haa...."

He wiped his mouth and stared at the bloodied petals resting within his palm.

"It is getting worse."

"..."

The disease had been infecting him for months, ever since he first contracted it while he was still at UA in Gusteko.

The Hanahaki Disease.

Julius did not know where it had originated.

However, one thing was certain: it did not belong to this world.

Somehow, flowers capable of carrying the disease had bloomed even within Gusteko's harsh winter climate, and Julius had become infected without realizing it.

There was only one thing known about the Hanahaki Disease...

There was no known cure.

The only way for the disease to disappear was for the infected person's unrequited love to be reciprocated.

Of course, Natsumi was not the cause.

They loved each other dearly.

Yet Julius loved two other people in his own way: Anastasia Hoshin, his lady, and Natsuki Subaru, his dearest friend.

Ricardo and the Pearlbaton triplets could also be included as well.

However, the love is not romantically felt, but rather through a deep admiration and respect that went beyond the simplicity of ordinary affection.

Julius knew that, deep within himself, he could not forgive himself for the sins he had committed nor could he forgive himself for his cowardice in failing to reunite with those he had once fought alongside.

That is why he told no one about his silent suffering.

Not Aro.

Not his children.

Not even Natsumi.

Julius knew that he did not have much time left.

There would be no miracle to save him this time.

No resurrection.

No third chance.

He would finally have to face something he had spent his entire life fighting against.

His own mortality.

For the first time, Julius Juukulius Natsuki had no way to escape death.

Yet that did not stop him from cherishing every moment he had left with his family.

He would continue to smile.

He would continue to train his children.

He would continue to prepare dinner.

He would continue to wait for Natsumi to return home.

And, when the time finally comes, he hoped he would have the courage to stand before his lady and his friend one final time.

Even if it meant confronting all the regrets he had carried for so long.

Hello everyone, I'm sorry to bother your day. But as you can see from the title, I'm taking a break from roleplaying as a whole. I'm not saying how long though but just know that I will come back to continue my larp in the Witch Cult Universe.

The reason is that something made me really upset with the RP planning and I was too immature and emotional to handle it. Plus, the burn out is starting to take a heavy toll on me.

Unfortunately, that means that all of my planned RP will be put into a halt. I apologise for it really. It's unusual for me to do this but one slap to the face was all it took for me to break.

I will get a hold of myself and fix my life in the meantime. So that means I won't be opening Reddit or Discord in the matter.

I am really really really sorry for what I have done.

Once Julius announced his resignation as both a teacher and the acting principal of UA during the Graduation Ceremony, the former Knight of Lugunica bid farewell to his fellow colleagues, students, and acquaintances.

Together with (Reverse) Natsuki Subaru, he packed their belongings and life savings. Boarding the first train available, the two departed from Gusteko, a frigid kingdom that had welcomed them with warmth. They already knew where they were headed. It was a destination they had chosen together and agreed upon.

As the train made its way toward Kararagi, Julius rested his head upon his beloved's shoulder and quietly drifted to sleep.

Within his dreams, he envisioned a peaceful future. There stood himself, his beloved, and two children of their own, strolling through the lively streets of Banan while dressed in traditional Kararagian attire.

A happy family. A happy ending.

It was everything the former Spirit Knight had ever wished for.

Yet such an ending had come at an immeasurable cost.

The people he had left behind. The enemies he had slain. The duties he had abandoned. The loved ones he had failed to protect.

Every one of them remained a regret Julius Juukulius carried within his heart.

Even so, he continued to carry the responsibility, the blame, the expectations, the oath, and those lingering regrets to this very day.

As the train continued its path, Julius reflected upon the journey that had shaped his whole life.

His humble beginnings as a Royal Knight of Lugunica.

The burden of defeating an opponent so mighty that not even Reinhard's strength could overcome him, relying on nothing but his sword and his contracted spirits.

The sinful atrocities he committed while under the influence of the Wrathful Deity.

The humiliating death he suffered at the hands of an unknown opponent.

His resurrection, alongside the evolution of his Quasi-Spirits into Lesser Great Spirits.

The heartbreaking farewell to his former lover.

His leadership over a corporation that controlled a significant portion of the world's economy.

The second erasure of his very name.

His stewardship as the acting principal of an academy.

And finally... his marriage to the one he loved.

All of it had unfolded within a single lifetime. The Spirit Knight could scarcely believe how far he had come. Those experiences had forged him into someone far stronger than the young knight he once was.

Now, at long last, he had been granted the chance to embrace both peace and love with (Reverse) Subaru by his side.

The dream he had just witnessed... he would make it a reality.

He swore an oath to himself: One day, they would have children. Children they could proudly call their own. Juliet and Joshua. Those would be their names.

Yet even beneath that happiness lingered a single uneasy thought. What if another devastating war were to erupt out of nowhere? What if another conflict threatened not only the world... but his family as well?

Julius would never allow such a tragedy to come to pass. Not while he still drew breath. He would become stronger. Stronger than he had ever been, even after his resurrection.

He would renew his contracts with the original six spirits, Ia, Kua, Aro, Ik, In, and Nes, who now served as Guardians of Kararagi alongside Zarestia and Halibel.

He would reclaim the magical blade that bestowed overwhelming courage upon its wielder.

He would relearn every skill he had once mastered and refine every technique until they surpassed their former heights.

But strength alone would not be enough. He still owed apologies. To his lady, to his friends, to Subaru. He would not ask for their forgiveness nor would he accept their sympathy. Instead, he would once again swear the oath of a knight, this time as a man truly worthy of standing beside them.

It felt as though >!flowers were blooming!< within his heart, filling him with equal measures of anticipation and nervousness for the future that awaited him.

When his beloved gently woke him to announce that they had finally arrived at their new home, Julius silently reaffirmed his resolve.

He would accomplish every one of these promises.

When the time is right.

For the world was not yet finished with Julius Juukulius Natsuki.
