Starting pitcher was sent to first base after pitching two innings and 20 ish pitches. He was then put back on the mound to start the 5th. Is this really allowed in majors division ? My understanding is a pitcher returning is allowed with in older divisions. Any input would be great.

There is no constriction here, only demolition.
