I recently drew some mermaid sketches + one that is not a mermaid that I colored in a bit randomly, and looking at it again I feel like something is off. I've been trying mermaids to practice more dynamic poses, however I can't seem to place what I am either missing or messing up!

I do recognize that one hair strain just going down is kind of out of place lol, will probably fix that

Any advice is appreciated in any way at all, whether on anatomy or on lighting (or anything really),, because I also feel like I just don't understand how light works in water.

Especially anatomy because I don't know why bbut something about it is bothering me, maybe it's that thigh gap? I don't know, probably should have used a reference
