The two things holding Marian back is that she is an animal and she is from a less popular film. She has all of the qualities of a Disney princess acting very much like typical Snow White archetype. She is actually royal unlike most unofficial princesses like Jane, Mirabel, Asha, Esmerelda. She is from a classic fairytale too. The other problem is Robin Hood is more of a ‘boys film’ like Hercules is which holds Meg back.

But hypothetically even if she didn’t last, at the beginning of the brand do you think she would have been considered like Jane, Esmerelda, Alice and Tinkerbell were?

I love the idea of a sidekicks story but I would have chosen different descendants. The new series of films is doing to many HKs instead of VKs. Every character in the original was a VK. If you look at D3 the group were all villains with Doug, Jane and Ben all being sidelined. So for hidden heroes I wish there were more vks as there is only really one with Zara and she is going to be the villain anyway.

i know that is a lot of characters but the villain team would just be basically one character, the side characters wouldn’t be part of the hero team and the guest stars would only have cameos so it’s only really 5 main characters that go on the mission. I just think this gives spotlight to a variety of Disney films with better links and relationships as well as being more villain centric.

I can’t find it on YouTube or on Disney plus and I’m sure it was meant to come out at 8am today. The only thing I can find is a clip on TikTok.

What’s the plot?

After every descendants film there’s been a short form continuation to bridge the gap between each film. We got wicked world for D1, Under the sea for D2, Royal wedding for D3 and Shuffle of love for D4. So will we get one in 2027 based on the D5 characters. Personally I hope we do and it would be great if it showed Robbie and Felix (and Squirmy) adventures whilst they were away from the group. So the teacup with a song and then perhaps the three of them have another small adventure before Pink saves them. What else could it be about if it happens?

She seems to be saying it as if it is implied in the film and the only thing I can think of is Felix with the teacup but that’s barely romantic although I do ship them. Other than that she has a few shared moments with Luis but obviously he’s paired with Red. I hope Pink gets a love interest in the next film but it may have to be a new character as none of the cast is close enough to Liamanis age to make me root for it.

I’m currently writing a fan fic of what I hope happens on D6, would anyone read it when it is completed. Also does anyone have any ideas or general hopes for the next film?

I also want to write one about Merlin Academy.

In Descendants Wicked Wonderland the cast was way too big. They could have removed Robbie, Felix and the Ames and the plot would not change. They could even have removed Luis and Hazel but I like both of them. But how could this film not be Abel to flesh out every character. I know it has a shorter run time but this film had 10 main characters: Red, Chloe, Max, Luis, Pink, Hazel, Squirmy, Squeeky, Felix and Robbie, as well as villains and parents. The original film also had 10 main characters in Mal, Ben, Evie, Carlos, Jay, Chad, Audrey, Doug, Jane and Lonnie, as well as lots of parents. And the first film actually had to introduce every single character and the story, whilst WW already had established canon, storyline and protagonists. Yet, the first descendants manages to make the world feel real with every character having distinct personalities, relationships with one another and individual spotlight moments. None of them were part of the core group but we still knew who they were and what their motivations were without making them disappear every mission and not worrying where they had gone. Even in D3 when characters were sidelined for fan favourites like Uma and Harry, there was still time dedicated to Jane, Doug and Chad. How could WW get it so wrong.

I think the real answer is so that they could have the reveal at the end of D4 where it looks like she hasn’t changed. But…. In universe what do we think is the reason for changing her hair to red if she is no longer evil?

So I think it’s clear that HSM, Zombies, Descendnats and Camp Rock are Disney Channels biggest DCOM franchises, they are the most popular and well known with parents spanning many micro generations. So, why would they only put the last three on the world collide tour. As much as no new content is coming out, with Liamani as Dara going on the tour I would have thought they would weave in HSM to add more songs.

In Perfect Princess Cinderella says this line but this is completely untrue. Now we don’t know how much has changed since Bridget is good but we do know that anything before the prank did not get changed which means Ella’s views on the royals supremacy did not change at least as that age so why does she say this. And let’s say that after the prank does not go ahead her views change, why? What does no prank do to change anything because in both timelines Ella would have danced with the prince and become a princess.

So I know this film with focus a lot more on Jessie and her being the leader but is she the Main main character like Woody has been. Or is she the joint main alongside Bizz and Woody.
Then Allen said that Buzz is only a supporting role but are Buzz and Woody going to be supporting in the capacity Bo was in 4 as she was basically a lead or will they have about as much screen time as Buzz and Jessie did in 4 as they may as well have not been there.
I understand making Jessie the protagonist but I hope Buzz and Woody aren’t completely pushed aside and aren’t unimportant. Especially to the extent Buzz was in 4. As Hanks and Allen agreed to come back I hope Woodys role at least is more than an extended cameo and a full secondary lead.

So Elena is confirmed and potentially singing the Be Bold song????? Idk if that’s her voice but anyway……
Does Royal Magic take place before Sofias cameo at the end of Elena of Avalor. If so where in her canon will Elena be, season 2? It must be before her coronation as Sofia looks like a teenager by then so must have graduated from Charmswell.

Okay so I love Sofia and I am enjoying aspects of this new series but what I was most excited about was seeing all of the Disney princesses again. But where are they?!!?!!?! Rapunzel of course appeared in the premiere (VERY briefly). But then I know they can’t appear in every episode and we have only half a season but I thought I’d at least see one more. I especially thought in the finale of this first batch we’d see one more, especially if Elena, Cinderella, Belle, Ariel, Jasmine, Aurora and Moana all have to show up and some more than once. It won’t be very spread out if they all appear in the back half.
