Progress Over Personality

I (20, TF - trans female) and him (25M) met on a dating app. Before anyone assumes otherwise, everyone I date knows I'm trans. I have it listed on all my dating profiles and always make sure they are aware before meeting.

When we matched, he was out of state for family reasons and mentioned he wouldn't be back for two weeks. I liked the vibe he gave off, so I patiently waited. Exactly two weeks later, I texted him and he replied saying he owed me a first date.

The following week I got sick, so we rescheduled for the week after. To show I was still interested without risking getting him sick, we had a phone call instead.

The call was amazing. We agreed on about 90% of our views, shared the same love languages (physical touch and quality time), and got so carried away that we talked for three hours straight into the evening. I suggested the following Friday, figuring I'd be healthy by then, and we agreed.

Originally we planned to go to a café, but since we're both physical touch people, we ended up agreeing that a movie date at his place might suit us better. I actually blurted that out first, and he said I had read his mind.

Friday came around. We'd been consistently texting back and forth leading up to it. I took public transport to his place and when I arrived, he said I should have told him because he would have picked me up. I said I'd keep that in mind for next time, but since it was a first date I didn't want to put any pressure on him.

We spent hours talking in his living room and the date honestly seemed to be going really well. We watched a movie, and he made the first move by kissing me. We'd already been teasing and flirting a lot beforehand.

Eventually he suggested we go back to his room out of respect for the other people living there. After spending a few hours making out, we attempted to have sex. He stopped midway and told me he had too much respect for me, and that it had psyched him out. I took it in stride and comforted him.

He mentioned he had plans to see friends later that evening, but when he realized how far away I lived, he cancelled those plans and drove me home instead.

During the drive there was still plenty of flirting, teasing, thigh grabbing, and banter. Earlier in the date, we had already agreed that we'd like to see each other again and go on a second date. Later in the drive, he asked what days I was free the following week. I told him my availability and he said, "Noted."

I jokingly asked if that was related to the second date we'd already agreed on. He said he had no idea what I was talking about. I then asked about his availability, and he joked that he was a full-time worker. We kept bantering until we reached my place. I kissed him goodbye and told him to text me when he got home. He said okay.

About 30 minutes later, I sent him a text thanking him for the date, saying I had a great time, looked forward to seeing him again, and thanking him for the lift.

Twenty-four hours passed with no response. However, he was online on Discord and Instagram and continued viewing my stories. At first I thought maybe he was just decompressing or talking things over with friends. So I sent a follow-up message saying I had an idea for a second date.

No response.

It's now been four days since the date. He continues to watch every story I post, but there has been no actual interaction, no reply to my messages, and no attempt to plan the second date we had already agreed to.

Am I missing something here? The date felt genuinely positive from my perspective, and his actions during the date seemed to suggest interest. Is this likely a slow fade, or am I overthinking the lack of communication?
