I built a manual debt payoff planning app for iOS — looking for product feedback
Hey everyone — I’m the creator of BalancePilot, an iOS app I built to help people plan debt payoff without connecting bank accounts.
The idea came from a simple problem: when someone has multiple credit cards, loans, due dates, minimum payments, statement dates, and limited available cash, it can be hard to know what payment actually helps the most next.
BalancePilot is focused more on planning than transaction tracking. Users manually add their debts, and the app helps organize things like:
Minimum payments
Due dates
Available cash
Credit utilization
Statement close dates
Payoff strategies
Loan impact previews before borrowing
The main thesis is:
Most people don’t just need to know their balances — they need help deciding what to do next.
I’d love feedback on:
Whether the value prop is clear
Whether “no bank linking” feels like a benefit or limitation
Whether the app sounds useful for people actively paying down debt
What would make the app feel more trustworthy from the first launch
Open to honest criticism.
